Position Title: Program Manager
Position Summary:
The Procurement Manager serves as a trusted, client-facing advisor responsible for managing day-to-day procurement and sourcing activities for one or more Monument clients who have outsourced procurement services to Monument. This role works directly with client stakeholders, suppliers, and internal Monument leadership to develop and execute sourcing strategies, negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs), and deliver measurable cost, risk, and value outcomes.
This position is ideal for a procurement professional who has experience supporting external clients, thrives in a consulting environment, and is comfortable balancing relationship management with hands-on execution.
This position will be a member of the Procurement-as-a-Service (PaaS) team, reporting to the PaaS Practice Director.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary day-to-day procurement contact for assigned client(s), building strong, professional relationships with client stakeholders across multiple functions
- Lead and execute strategic sourcing initiatives including RFP/RFQ development, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and SOW development
- Leverage AI tools to analyze vendor proposals and data to identify negotiation levers, risks/gaps, and other value-creation opportunities
- Collaborate with client legal and business partners to ensure contracts meet commercial, risk, and compliance requirements
- Drive utilization of procurement policies, processes, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P or Vendor Management System (VMS) technologies within a client environment
- Track, document, and communicate sourcing outcomes and savings results to both clients and Monument leadership
Other Essential Duties
- Contribute to the development of category and/or vendor strategies under guidance from Senior Managers or Directors
- Ability to adapt quickly to new client environments, industries, and expectations
- Support onboarding of new client engagements or procurement transitions
- Assist with mentoring junior team members as applicable
- Represent Monument professionally in all client and supplier interactions
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet client or business needs
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement
- 3-5 years of managing professional services and/or IT services SOW engagements
- Prior experience in consulting, managed services, or client-facing procurement role strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading sourcing projects and RFx events independently
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant certifications (CPSM, CPM, CSCP) a plus
- Experience applying Strategic Sourcing methodology
- Experience managing RFx events in various P2P, sourcing or VMS applications
- Experience integrating generative AI tools to enhance productivity and generate tangible value-add results
