Middleware Engineer (Atlanta, GA, or other unanticipated locations throughout U.S.).
Overview
Our team is looking for a Middleware Engineer.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: Supporting the banking infrastructure software applications as part of the Architecture and Software Engineering team. Designing, managing a distributing architecture framework hosting J2EE software application. Applying technical infrastructure management and engineering background, with hands-on experience. Designing build outs for applications in a UNIX/Linux infrastructure for web-based application server design. Working closely with application and testing teams deploying new software applications in the JBoss and Weblogic hosting environment(s). Gathering application configuration needs and facilitate system software changes with administrators and product vendors as needed. Ensuring software production stability from an ongoing monitoring and support standpoint and providing Middleware Application Server administration that includes installations, configurations, performance tuning, routine maintenance, and routine patching of enterprise-wide software architectures. Collaborating with the development and testing teams for end-to-end project initiatives. Building new features and functions for software on Cloud and on-premise systems. Building new infrastructure to support a middleware server or production server, design for high availability and failover capability. Supporting critical projects that require direct involvement with stakeholders. Working in JBoss, WebSphere (Tomcat, Apache), WebLogic, Middleware technologies, Oracle WebLogic, and similar Middleware products. Providing software application administrative support (installation, configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting and production support) for company systems. Utilizing and applying J2EE/Java application experience. Working with Jython, Python, Ansible YAML and Perl, Splunk, Dynatrace, SiteScope or AppDynamics, ITSM Remedy or Jira among others.
Qualifications
M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related. 24 mo. experience in any related Software Engineering position. 24 mon. in: Systems Engineering; Unix/Linux; Apache; IBM WebSphere; Oracle WebLogic; RedHat JBoss; BladeLogic; Ansible; AppDynamics; Splunk; Dynatrace; Cloud Technologies; AWS; GitHub; Docker; CI/CD; Jenkins; Python. Telecommuting permitted.
40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
$146,120/year.
