Overview
Insight Global seeks a qualified Lead AV & Collaboration Engineer to join our Network Infrastructure team. This role acts as a team lead for the audio-visual and collaboration platforms across corporate environments, ensuring flawless meeting execution, executive meeting support, and lifecycle management. As a key technical leader, you will mentor junior technicians, drive standards, and partner with IT and Network Engineering to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing AV solutions.
Responsibilities
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Oversee design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise AV and collaboration systems (Teams Rooms, Cisco RoomOS/Control Hub, NEAT Pulse, MTR Pro Portal).
- Lead daily AV operations, assigning and mentoring Tier I & II technicians.
- Act as primary escalation point for complex AV incidents, including live event crises.
- Drive lifecycle management including room refresh planning, firmware governance, and platform modernization.
- Ensure AV systems align with organizational standards, security requirements, and QoS policies.
- Manage AV Support Desk queue, triage issues, and dispatch resources as necessary.
- Partner with Network Engineering, IT, and Architecture teams to validate system performance and capacity.
- Develop and maintain AV standards, configuration baselines, and operational runbooks.
- Support executive meetings, high-profile events, and after-hours live sessions.
- Perform installations and field service work including cable pulling, soldering, crimping connectors, and equipment mounting.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure long-term system stability.
- Provide peer review support for Change Management and contribute to problem/incident resolution.

Qualifications
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE - MUST HAVE
- 5-7 years of hands-on AV engineering/integration experience, including 2+ years leading teams.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco collaboration platforms, Crestron/Extron control systems, Biamp/Shure DSPs, and conferencing hardware (Logitech, Yealink, Neat, Lenovo).
- Deep understanding of AV networking fundamentals including IP addressing, VLANs, routing concepts, QoS, and secure AV deployments.
- Experience supporting live executive meetings and high-profile events.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot AV, control, and network issues under pressure.
- Ability to read schematics, architectural blueprints, and AV documentation.
- Proficiency performing field installation work including soldering, cable termination, and hardware mounting.
- AVIXA CTS or equivalent experience required.
- Valid Driver's License.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE - NICE TO HAVE
- CTS-I certification.
- OSHA 10-Hour certification.
- Crestron or Extron programming certifications.
- Experience with NEAT Pulse, MTR Pro Portal, and advanced collaboration analytics.
- Familiarity with emerging AV technologies and modern room experience trends.
