Hadoop Production Support Engineer (Atlanta, GA, or other unanticipated locations throughout U.S.)

Overview

Our team is looking for a Hadoop Production Support Engineer.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: Supporting and developing a Hadoop based system software environment. Releasing coordination, system upgrades, system operations, and hands-on troubleshooting of data quality,

data integrity, & root cause analysis of software systems. Working in a software development and application support role. Developing, testing and troubleshooting system software.

Upgrading and maintaining system software. Working in a Hadoop and/or DevOps software environment. Utilizing Unix, Bash scripting, and SQL. Providing Spark development, optimization and troubleshooting.

Delivering strong data and software analysis skills (troubleshooting data quality/integrity, root causes). Bringing attention to system software risks before they become issues. Providing software solutions for any issues arising.

Working with Java, Python, or other object orientated software developing languages. Automating testing experience with Cucumber or other related tools. Telecommuting permitted.

Qualifications

M.S. in Computer Science or closely related. 24 mo. exp in any Hadoop Software development position. 24 mon. in: Hadoop framework; HDFS; YARN; MapReduce; Hive; Pig; Sqoop; Oozie; Flume; Data Query; Impala; SQL;

Spark SQL; ETL; NIFI; Kafka; Security/Governance; Kerberos; Ranger; CI/CD Workflow; GIT; Jenkins; Automation; Autosys; Crontab; Cloudera Manager; Ambari; Optimization; MapReduce; Cloud Platforms; AWS; Linux;

Linux Server Administration.40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
