Associate Director
Overview
The Senior Program Manager (SPM) is accountable for the successful delivery of Microsoft Data Center Professional Services programs, supporting Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) initiatives across new builds, expansions, and live-site environments. This role ensures safe, compliant, predictable, and high-quality execution aligned to Microsoft standards, contractual commitments, and operational readiness requirements.
Responsibilities
Program & Delivery Ownership
• Own delivery of multi-site, multi-vendor Microsoft data center programs including rack integration, deployment services, site readiness, and operational handoff.
• Develop and manage integrated master schedules aligned to Microsoft deployment milestones and go-live targets.
• Ensure execution aligns with Microsoft CO+I standards, safety practices, and SOW requirements.
• Maintain accountability for scope, schedule, cost, quality (KPIs, SLAs, OKRs), and risk.
Stakeholder & Governance Management
• Lead the Insight Global team of Program Managers, Deployment Managers, Site Operations, Engineering, and Security teams working for Microsoft Data Centers delivery projects.
• Lead Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs), milestone readiness reviews, and executive escalations.
• Provide accurate status reporting, forecasting, and KPI dashboards aligned to Microsoft expectations.
Financial & Commercial Accountability
• Own overall programs financials including budget adherence, forecasting, and margin protection.
• Oversee formal change control processes for scope, schedule, and cost changes.
• Ensure accurate invoicing and revenue recognition in partnership with finance teams.
Risk, Quality, Safety & Compliance
• Lead proactive risk identification and mitigation across data center delivery environments.
• Ensure adherence to Microsoft Zero Harm safety principles and site security requirements.
• Enforce QA/QC standards and first-time-right delivery prior to turnover.
Team Leadership & Vendor Management
• Lead cross-functional teams including Program Managers, Project Managers, Site Managers, and Engineers.
• Manage on-shore and off-shore delivery resources.
• Establish clear RACI models and performance expectations.
Operational Excellence & Reporting
• Implement standardized program management tooling and reporting aligned to Microsoft PMO standards.
• Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
