Technology Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Technology Analyst with hands-on experience in Progress 4GL/OpenEdge (versions 10.x, 11.x, 12.x) to support application development and enhancement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Experience in the U.S. Life Insurance domain and VPAS application development is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Progress 4GL/OpenEdge (10.x, 11.x, 12.x)
  • Perform application enhancements, defect fixes, and performance tuning
  • Work with Progress database objects including indexes, triggers, and schema design
  • Debug and resolve issues using the Progress 4GL debugger
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement business requirements
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality guidelines, and best practices
  • Provide production and application support as required

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
  • At least 3 years of experience related to the job description
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of Progress Database concepts, including indexes, triggers, schema build and maintenance, and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of ADM and web services
  • Hands-on experience using Progress 4GL debugging tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical aptitude with the willingness to learn new tools and technologies
  • Passion for continuous learning with a focus on quality delivery
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Prior experience in VPAS application development
  • Knowledge of the U.S. Life Insurance domain
