Technical Test Lead
We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with hands-on experience in Playwright using JavaScript to join our Quality Engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and ensuring high-quality releases across our web applications. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
- At least 4 years of working experience in QA Testing
- Location for this position is Anywhere in Canada
- 3 to 10+ years of experience in test automation, with at least 1+ year using Playwright.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating tests into pipelines.
- Familiarity with REST API testing and tools like Postman or Playwright's API capabilities.
- Understanding of test design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model).
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

- Develop and maintain end-to-end test automation using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and API testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs; contribute to root cause analysis.
- Monitor test execution, analyze failures, and maintain test stability.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing.
- Contribute to test data management and environment setup.
- Experience with Test Management tools (e.g., TM4J, Zephyr).
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices and tools like Snyk, JFrog.
- Familiarity with Docker or containerized test environments.
- Experience with performance or accessibility testing tools
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ontario: $ 82804 to $ 115491
