Technical Lead - Java, Healthcare Payor | Líder Técnico Java - Sector Salud (Pagadores)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership in the design, development, and delivery of backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Design and govern REST API standards and integration patterns supporting healthcare payor workflows
• Lead development of integration components that support HIPAA EDI transactions including 278, 834, 837, and 270/271
• Collaborate with business, architecture, and product teams to translate healthcare requirements into robust technical solutions
• Ensure solutions comply with HIPAA, security, and healthcare data protection standards
• Guide and mentor development team members through code reviews, design discussions, and best practices
• Troubleshoot complex technical and integration issues and drive root-cause resolution
• Drive performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability of applications
• Review technical designs and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards
• Produce and review technical documentation for solution architecture, APIs, and implementations
• Act as a technical point of contact for stakeholders and contribute to delivery planning and estimations

Required Skills and Experience
• 5-8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development with demonstrated technical leadership responsibilities
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for enterprise and microservices-based architectures
• Extensive experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Mandatory Healthcare Payor domain experience
• Strong working knowledge of HIPAA EDI transactions including 278, 834, 837, and 270/271
• Understanding of healthcare regulatory, compliance, and data privacy requirements
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL
• Strong analytical, debugging, and system design skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional and distributed teams
• Ability to onboard quickly into complex healthcare systems and domain workflows
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Nice to Have Skills
• Azure cloud development experience
• Exposure to cloud-native or hybrid architectures
• Experience modernizing legacy healthcare or payor platforms
