About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to support digital transformation and analytics engagements across the Oil & Gas sector. This role emphasizes hands-on delivery, data visualization, Agile execution, and business analysis, with only foundational Oil & Gas knowledge required. You will work closely with project managers, product owners, and technical teams to translate business needs into practical digital solutions that improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Conduct business analysis to understand user needs, pain points, and process gaps.
- Translate requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
- Support workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with stakeholders.
- Document process flows, current-state/value-stream maps, and simple solution outlines.
- Build intuitive dashboards, visual reports, and insight-driven storyboards using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Develop visualizations that support operational, financial, or performance decision-making.
- Work with data teams to define metrics, KPIs, and data formatting needs.
- Support prototype creation and iteration cycles based on user feedback.
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more delivery squads-facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews/demos, and retrospectives.
- Own backlog hygiene and sprint execution in partnership with the Product Owner; drive impediment removal and cross-team coordination.
- Track scope, risks, issues, and dependencies; maintain visible delivery plans and burn-down/burn-up reporting.
- Coach teams on Agile best practices and foster continuous improvement.
- Apply basic understanding of the Oil & Gas value chain (Upstream, Midstream, or Downstream) to support data and workflow discussions.
- Learn domain-specific processes such as production reporting, maintenance workflows, logistics, or commercial operations as needed.
- Bring curiosity and willingness to deepen industry knowledge on the job.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree and ~5+ years of experience in digital delivery, consulting, business analysis, or data-driven project roles.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile delivery teams.
- Strong skills writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting multi-disciplinary teams.
- Basic exposure to AI concepts such as classification, prediction, anomaly detection, or leveraging AI-powered analytics tools (no deep data science required).
- Clear communication with both business and technical audiences; comfortable presenting demos.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative environments with shifting priorities.
- Curiosity about Oil & Gas operations (deep expertise not required).
- Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time.
