Support Engineer

Infosys is seeking a Support Engineer with experience in enterprise messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka, TIBCO EMS, TIBCO Rendezvous (RV), and RabbitMQ. The role requires strong Unix/Linux skills and proficiency in Shell scripting. You will help maintain system stability, resolve incidents, and ensure smooth message flow across distributed systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of New York, NY or willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

• Knowledge of messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka, TIBCO EMS, TIBCO Rendezvous (RV), and RabbitMQ
• Strong Unix/Linux troubleshooting background.
• Proficiency in Shell scripting (bash or ksh).
• Experience with log analysis, performance metrics, and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Around 2 years of hands-on experience supporting messaging platforms Kafka, TIBCO EMS, TIBCO RV, and RabbitMQ.
• Experience in enterprise or financial services environments.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, Hawk, or RabbitMQ Management Console.
• Experience using ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Jira

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
