Stress Engineer
Infosys is seeking a Stress Engineer primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role will require strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Wichita, KS or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of Experience
At least bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
At least 4 years experience in Aerospace Industry as a Stress Engineer
Comprehensive knowledge Stress analysis of Aero structures.
Perform Static, fatigue and damage tolerance analysis for Aircraft structures using classical hand calculation.
Applicant should be familiar with Boeing Static and Book 1,2 and 3 Fatigue Analysis Methodologies
Applicant should be familiar with and have prior experience with the following Boeing Stress Tools, including IAS, XSA/SA+, FEADMS, IDTAS, Moss-Duberg, and FAMOSS Understanding of load paths, extraction of loads from Finite Element Models.
Applicant should be familiar with Damage Tolerance Analysis and CFR25.571
Determination of critical failure modes and performing analysis to ensure structural integrity.
Analysis of aircraft primary/secondary metallic structures.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Coordinate with cross functional groups including Design, Materials & Process Engineering.
Participate in review meetings with Customer and SMEs.
Generate Engineering Stress Report which establishes compliance and safety.
Interact with customer; understand the Scope of Work and methodology required to meet customer expectation

Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards
Experience in metallic and Composites structural analysis
Experience in Load, stress calculations and preparing technical reports
Experience in Finite Element Analysis tools (Nastran, Patran)
Experience in static, fatigue and damage tolerance calculations
Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards
Experienced in PATRAN, NASTRAN, FEMAP
Experience in MRB and SRM
Experience in CATIA V5, Enovia
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements
