SQL Database Architect

Infosys is seeking an SQL Database Architect. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure SQL database solutions. This role involves creating database architecture, optimizing performance, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with development teams to support business applications.

Required Skills:

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Memphis, T or Hartford, CT or Indianapolis, IN or Raleigh, NC or Tempe, AZ or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
  • At least 11 years of Information Technology experience.
  • At least 10+ Years of experience in SQL Database design and Architecture
  • Database Design & Architecture: Develop highly available, scalable, and secure database solutions using SQL Server.
  • Data Migration: Oversee database migration projects, including on-premises to cloud transitions and cloud to cloud transitions, data conversion, and validation processes.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize query performance, indexing strategies, and database configurations.
  • Cloud Integration: Architect Azure-based database solutions, including Azure SQL Database, Managed Instances, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure data security, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Automation & Monitoring: Utilize Azure Monitor, SQL Profiler, and other tools to automate and monitor database performance.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with developers, BI teams, DevOps, and business stakeholders, explaining complex database concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain comprehensive database documentation, including design specifications, technical workflows, and troubleshooting guides.
