As part of a large-scale global transformation, a world-leading FMCG company has partnered with Infosys to redesign and elevate its Global Business Services (GBS) to world-class standards. To support this journey, we are seeking a Sourcing (Indirect Categories) - Business Process Expert (GBS) who will serves as the end-to-end process manager for the Indirect Sourcing process across GBS and will play a critical role in improving processes and ensuring operational excellence in our Bucharest delivery center. The Sourcing (Indirect Categories) Business Process Expert (GBS) is positioned within our Global Business Services (GBS) Purchase to Pay Organization. Holder of this role will be responsible for building and driving a best-in-class Indirect Sourcing for GBS covered processes.
Your tasks in detail:
- Define and maintain the global GBS Souring process for Indirect Categories (process maps, SOPs, Desktop Procedures, checklists);
- Standardize RFx strategies (RFI/RFQ/RFP), eAuctions where appropriate, weighted scoring models, and negotiation playbooks;
- Develop category-specific playbooks (e.g., IT/SaaS, Marketing, Facilities, MRO, Professional Services) including SoW templates, rate-card structures, SLAs/OLAs, and acceptance criteria;
- Establish quality gates for intake (business case, budget, scope/specs, risk assessments, privacy/security reviews);
- Advise buyers on event design, supplier long/short-listing, bid normalization, scenario & TCO modeling, and award recommendations;
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs (IT architecture, InfoSec, Privacy, Legal, HR, Facilities, Finance) to ensure complete RFx/SoW packages;
- Guide strategies for rate-card governance, benchmarking, rebate/volume tiers, and service credits/LDs;
- Support supplier onboarding (due diligence, compliance attestations, tax/withholding considerations) and readiness for contract execution;
- Manage CLM templates and clause libraries (MSA, SOW, DPA, DPU, NDAs) with Legal; manage approval workflows and playbooks.;
- Ensure contract-to-ERP enablement: pricing, rate cards, service catalogs, and contract compliance fields (renewal dates, obligations);
- Drive guided buying and eCatalog/punchout enablement with curated content and channel decision trees to maximize compliance and ease of use;
- Maintain sourcing policies and thresholds (what-to-buy-where, when RFx/eAuction is required, exceptions process);
- Enforce ToA/SoD and conflict-of-interest rules; maintain robust exception management and documentation;
- Integrate data privacy (e.g., GDPR-like principles), InfoSec requirements (for IT suppliers), and record retention into operating procedures;
- Optimize eSourcing templates, scoring, and approvals; maintain standardized bid sheets and evaluation criteria;
- Support to define data standards for supplier master, UNSPSC/category taxonomy, service catalogs, GL/tax coding, and contract metadata;
- Implement data quality guardrails and validations to support accurate analytics, clean PR→PO handoffs, and touchless transactions;
- Support to establish dashboards for savings/avoidance, cycle time, pipeline, contract coverage, catalog adoption, non-PO spend, policy exceptions, rate variance vs. benchmarks;
- Conduct root cause analysis on leakage (off-contract, non-PO), supplier performance issues, and invoice holds due to SoW/PO misalignment;
- Benchmark performance across regions and publish improvement roadmaps with quantified benefits;
- Deploy automation (RPA/workflow) for intake triage, bid normalization, comparative analysis, and supplier comms;
- Expand catalog coverage and simplify buying channels to reduce manual touchpoints and cycle time;

- 7 or more years in Indirect Materials Sourcing including process management, transformation, and operations;
- Category Knowledge: Exposure to indirect sourcing domains;
- Hands-on with eSourcing (Ivalua,Ariba/Coupa/Jaggaer), CLM (Ivalua/Ariba/Coupa), ERP (SAP/Oracle/D365), and analytics (Power BI/Tableau, advanced Excel). VMS (Fieldglass/Beeline) experience is a plus;
- SoW drafting, event design, weighted scoring, TCO modeling, eAuctions, catalog enablement, SRM basics;
- Practical understanding of ToA/SoD, ABAC, data privacy, InfoSec (for IT vendors), and audit requirements;
- Fluent in business English; additional regional languages are a plus;
- Indirect Sourcing Mastery: RFx design, bid normalization, scenario analysis, negotiation prep, and supplier qualification;
- SoW & Commercials: Strong SoW drafting, rate-card/fee models, SLAs/OLAs, service acceptance criteria, and contract change control;
- Digital & Data: Confident with Ivalua/eSourcing/CLM configuration awareness; strong Excel/BI skills; understanding of category taxonomies, supplier/material master impacts;
- Policy & Controls: Converts policy and risk requirements into workable workflows, templates, and system rules to reduce exceptions/leakage;
- Financial & Tax Acumen: Budgeting, TCO/should-cost for services, rebates, FX/logistics elements, and VAT/GST considerations.
