ITAM and Integration Specialist
Role Summary: The ITAM and Integration Specialist is responsible for delivering ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and ServiceNow integration solutions. This role combines ServiceNow development, integration engineering, automation, asset lifecycle management, data governance, and platform best practices to support business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and configure ServiceNow HAM and SAM out-of-the-box (OOB) capabilities, covering the complete asset lifecycle from procurement, inventory, deployment, maintenance, compliance, and retirement.
• Configure and manage hardware and software catalogs, asset models, stockrooms, inventory controls, software entitlements, license compliance, and reporting.
• Establish governance for hardware models, software models, manufacturers, model categories, normalization, and standardization processes.
• Maintain data quality and lifecycle alignment between Asset Management, CMDB, Discovery, and Inventory sources while preventing duplication.
• Configure and support Tier-1 software publishers (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Adobe, IBM) including licensing, entitlement, and compliance requirements.
• Build and support integrations with third-party SAM/HAM tools, endpoint management solutions, MDM platforms, procurement systems, and enterprise applications using REST, SOAP, SSO/OKTA, and related technologies.
• Develop and customize ServiceNow solutions using JavaScript, AngularJS, Service Portal widgets, client-side and server-side scripting.
• Design and implement transform maps, data migration solutions, batch integrations, and file-based integrations (MFT/SFTP).
• Support operational readiness through documentation, runbooks, stakeholder training, testing (unit, regression, and UAT), deployment, and production support.
• Apply strong knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, Asset Management, software compliance, and IT asset lifecycle best practices to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Integrate ServiceNow with SAP, Workday, Azure AD, SCCM, Jira, Okta, procurement systems, endpoint management tools, SAM tools, mobile device management tools, and other third-party applications.
• Develop custom APIs, transform maps, data migration processes, data imports/exports, and automation workflows.
• Configure authentication methods including OAuth 2.0, API Keys, Basic Authentication, and SSO solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and alignment between Asset Management records and CMDB.
• Support software normalization, software catalog management, license optimization, and vendor compliance activities.
• Troubleshoot integration issues, performance bottlenecks, and data discrepancies.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, support runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Support testing, user acceptance testing, releases, upgrades, and production deployments.
• Provide technical guidance, architectural recommendations, and ServiceNow platform best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of ServiceNow development, integration and implementation experience.
• Strong experience in ServiceNow ITAM (HAM/SAM) implementations and enterprise integrations.
• Collaborate with architects and senior developers to design scalable ServiceNow solutions that align technical architecture with business requirements and enterprise standards.
• Lead solution design activities including requirements analysis, business process evaluation, data modeling, and recommend cost-effective, efficient implementation approaches.
• Design and implement client-facing ServiceNow solutions and enterprise application integrations, ensuring seamless process and data flow across platforms.
• Develop and enhance ServiceNow data models, workflows, and process integrations while driving continuous improvements to products, processes, and platform capabilities.
• Support platform lifecycle activities including releases, upgrades, new technology deployments, testing, and go-live execution, while quickly adapting to and learning emerging technologies
• Hands-on expertise in REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, Flow Designer, MID Server, JavaScript, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with CMDB, Discovery, ITSM, ITOM, CSDM, Service Catalogs, Record Producers, and Workspaces.
• Experience with transform maps, data migration, integrations, and scripting using PowerShell or Python.
• Knowledge of software asset management, hardware asset management, software licensing, and compliance processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
