Senior Technology Lead
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst to support a global banking transformation program focused on modernizing domestic and cross-border wire payment capabilities. This role will be instrumental in designing and delivering solutions aligned with Fedwire, CHIPS, and SWIFT standards, including MT/MX message formats under ISO 20022, and leveraging SWIFT gpi for enhanced tracking and transparency.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with global banks, deep domain knowledge of cross-border and US domestic wire schemes such as Fedwire, CHIPS, and a strong understanding of operations workflows, wire exceptions, regulatory compliance, and ISO 20022 migration strategies. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to ensure successful implementation.

Responsibilities & Deliverables :
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Fedwire, CHIPS, SWIFT, and cross-border payment schemes within a global banking IT transformation program.
- Analyze and document business requirements applicable for US domestic wires market and large bank operations and correspondent bank requirement standards.
- Translate complex client needs into detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories.
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders to capture US domestic wire transfer and cross-border payment requirements.
- Design and document payment processing flows including initiation, validation, routing, settlement, exception handling, operations and reconciliation.
- Ensure system design adheres to CHIPS operating rules, Fedwire guidelines, SWIFT standards, and cross-border payment regulations.
- Support SWIFT gpi implementation, including tracking, transparency, and reporting features.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams across geographies to ensure successful delivery.
- Support testing phases including UAT, integration testing, and regression testing.
- Support ISO 20022 migration initiatives, including gap analysis, mapping, and transition planning.
- Work closely with operations teams to understand current workflows, pain points, and ensure operational readiness post-implementation.
- Provide expertise in wire exceptions handling, including investigation, resolution workflows, and integration with exception management systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory rules, including OFAC, AML, KYC, FFIEC, and other applicable frameworks.

- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services or payments technology, with direct experience working on payments transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of Fedwire, CHIPS, SWIFT, and cross-border payment schemes.
- Hands-on experience with SWIFT MT and MX message formats and their application in wire transfers.
- Proven experience in ISO 20022 migration projects, including message mapping and system transition.
- Working knowledge of SWIFT gpi and its operational and technical components.
- Proven ability to write clear and actionable BRDs, use cases, and user stories.
- Experience working in Agile environments and solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong understanding of operations workflows in wire payments, including exception handling and reconciliation.
- Demonstrated experience in wire exceptions management, including root cause analysis and resolution strategies.
- Solid understanding of regulatory rules governing wire and cross-border payments, including OFAC, AML, KYC, and FFIEC guidelines.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills, with experience working across time zones and cultures.
- Experience with ACI MTS, FIS, or similar global payment platforms.
- Exposure to virtual account platforms, subledger systems, or cash management solutions.
- Familiarity with API-based banking integrations, cloud-native architectures, and microservices.
