Your role
We are looking for a Senior Retail Cegid Consultant with strong expertise in Retail POS systems and Cegid Y2 to deliver high-quality solutions for store operations and omnichannel retail. This role combines functional consulting, technical development, and operational excellence. You will work closely with business teams and technical leads to implement, support, and optimize retail solutions while ensuring service reliability through Incident & Problem Management, Analytics, and deep debugging.
Must Have:
Engineering Delivery Solutioning & Consulting
- 4-6 years of experience in retail technology consulting or support roles with at least 1+ years in Cegid Y2.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cegid Y2 (POS workflows, back-office, inventory, and omnichannel modules).
- Good understanding of retail business processes (store operations, inventory, promotions, pricing).
- Develop and maintain integrations between POS, ERP, OMS, and payment systems using REST APIs, SOAP/XML, and message queues.
- Write and optimize code in C#/.NET or Java or Cegid scripting for POS customization along with SQL for data reconciliation and performance tuning.
- Support integration with ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and third-party retail systems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, Infrastructure) to ensure smooth deployments.
- Monitor system performance using analytics tools and generating actionable insights.
- Monitor system health using logs , metrics , and dashboards (Splunk, ELK, App Insights).
- Analyze transaction patterns, error trends, and performance bottlenecks to improve reliability.
- Execute capacity planning, peak-readiness (seasonal peak events), and cost/performance optimization.
- Perform deep debugging across POS clients, middleware, and database layers.
- Support unit / integration testing , CI/CD pipelines, and deployment validation.
Additional Responsibilities:
Incident and Problem Management
- Manage the full incident lifecycle: detection, triage, resolution, and communication within agreed SLAs.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to restore services quickly and minimize business impact.
- Maintain accurate incident logs and ensure timely escalation when required.
- Implement hotfixes safely (feature flags, canary, rollback/runbook execution).
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement permanent fixes.
- Maintain a Known Error Database (KEDB) and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Drive preventive measures to reduce incident frequency and improve system reliability.

Nice to Have:
- 4+ years of experience in eCommerce application development with at least 2+ years in Cegid Y2.
- Experience with OMS/eCommerce integrations.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with cloud-hosted retail solutions and API-based integrations.
- Knowledge of payment systems, loyalty programs, and e-commerce integrations.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
- Exposure to reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) for retail analytics.
