Senior Principal - Consumer Products, Retail and Logistics, Infosys Consulting

Infosys Consulting is currently seeking a Senior Principal with proven consulting experience in the Consumer Products, Retail and Logistics sectors.
Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and foster professional relationships with senior and C-level client executives. Should be well acquainted with clients business situation, able to speak on behalf of the clients best interests and countering views of the client executives, if necessary.
  • Opportunity Identification/ Creation: Create/identify multi-million-dollar opportunities within existing and new clients using visionary industry knowledge, intellectual capital, background in potential problem areas, knowledge of upcoming regulatory and market changes, and Infosys services offerings.
  • Engagement Delivery and Management: Provide intellectual leadership and active participation for the portfolio of projects, review the progress periodically with the team and client, and appropriately intervene in critical situations. Lead and guide the program team to address critical issues to ensure that the client realizes the business value articulated at the time of the deal closure. Must be active in the details of the program and have a positive impact on the outcome. Provide support and guidance for the engagement leads, resolve issues escalated to finalize and conclude the engagement.
  • Proposal Development: Lead teams to prepare large proposals and program plans, facilitate Infosys differentiators (specific consulting frameworks, solution, intellectual property, etc.), articulate the value proposition, create and fine tune the financials and lead proposal presentations to create a compelling proposition for the client to engage Infosys.
  • Contract Negotiation: Analyze the probability of winning the deal & the criticality of the deal for Infosys, as well as appropriately prepare for negotiations on terms and conditions of the engagement with the client. Obtain confirmation and approval from all internal stakeholders to ensure timely and smooth closure of the deal.
  • Talent Management: Demonstrate the ability to attract, develop, and retain top 10% consulting talent to build the next generation of Infosys Consulting leaders.
  • Recruiting: Plan headcount distribution, identify upcoming skill needs and potential sourcing pools. Interview candidates and influence a favorable perception of Infosys as an employer and decide on offer details to ensure that the practice has the appropriate skills required.
  • Operations: Determine and implement strategy for the practice - where and how to compete and ensure operational discipline to enable practice growth.
  • Business Planning: Prepare account plans, estimate sales potential, identify key clients and internal collaboration opportunities.
  • Knowledge Management: Author or contribute to articles and Intellectual Capital that advance the quality of client service and oversee practice level knowledge management activities to lead and propagate a knowledge management culture within management consulting services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive account growth through proactive pitches, business case development, and account mining within existing and target clients
  • Sell and lead large-scale transformation programs, owning the end-to-end sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract close
  • Partner with account teams and delivery leaders to build a robust pipeline, shaping deals early and positioning the firm as a strategic partner rather than a reactive vendor
  • Develop and pitch points of view on emerging supply chain topics - AI-driven demand/supply planning, control tower and visibility solutions, resilience and risk management - to open new conversations with clients
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, bringing deep expertise in AI & Data, Supply Chain Planning, Procure to Pay and/or Order-to-Cash
  • Lead and oversee delivery of complex, large-scale transformation programs, ensuring quality, timeliness, and value realization
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships that support long-term account expansion
  • Shape point-of-view and thought leadership around AI Led Transformation, and Retail/CPG Operations
  • Mentor and develop consulting talent, contributing to practice-building and capability development
Qualifications
  • M.B.A or equivalent advanced degree
  • 15+ years of management consulting experience within Consumer Products, Retail, and/or Logistics sectors, with a strong track record in sales, relationship management, and account growth
  • Proven experience selling and leading large, complex transformation programs
  • Deep expertise in one or more of: AI & Data, Supply Chain Planning, Order-to-Cash
  • Working knowledge of platforms such as o9, SAP IBP, and SAP S/4HANA
  • Demonstrated ability to build compelling business cases and lead proactive client pitches
  • Strong executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel extensively

Estimated annual compensation range for candidates based in US are as indicated below:
Min-$210,000 & max-$256,667
