About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a team responsible for designing, operating, and optimizing mission-critical network environments. This role is ideal for a networking professional who thrives in complex enterprise infrastructures, enjoys solving challenging technical issues, and is passionate about delivering secure and reliable connectivity solutions.
You will play a key role in supporting large-scale network operations, driving continuous improvements, leading incident resolution efforts, and contributing to strategic technology initiatives within a critical production environment.
Mandatory
- Experience of at least 10 years in the design and operation of data network services
- Experience working and/or leading technical teams in mission-critical networks
- Have notions and concepts of SDWAN solutions, DWDM networks and be able to perform preliminary analysis on these technologies
- Analysis of problems and proposal of short- and medium-term solutions in the client's network.
- Management of monitoring and analysis tools for data networks
- Analytical capabilities that allow you to contribute with subject matter expertise (SME) to solve priority problems, implement complex and secure work systems, using existing work management processes in the client's environment and that meet performance objectives, while aligning with the client's business requirements

Nice to have
- At least 5 years with experience in mining or production process companies is desirable
- Cisco Routing and Switching Certification (Mandatory CCNA, CCNP, and CCIE Desirable)
- Certification or knowledge of service delivery processes (ITIL, SRE, or other) desirable
- Experience and knowledge in security solutions in addition to CISCO, knowledge in other brands of security equipment such as Checkpoint and F5 desirable.
- Sense of teamwork and collaboration with the rest of the team members
- The person is required to meet health conditions that allow work at geographical height and in mining environments
- Intermediate to advanced English, written and oral
- Detailed analysis of event behavior and identify its root cause
- Capture evidence and information obtained from logs, and other tools to find the root cause of a problem.
- Risk analysis and impact of changes executed on the data network, identifying services that may be affected
- Prepare design of solutions and documents with the detail of the activities of the change with the implementation plan of changes to be made in the client's network
- Maintain equipment configurations and best practices according to the customer's configuration standard
- Perform periodic infrastructure capacity reports on network service and critical services
- Prepare and propose planned maintenance activities to ensure continuity of services.
- Propose and design opportunities for improvements and optimization of the client's network infrastructure
- Support the strategy, planning, management and implementation of communications improvement projects at the sites where the client operates
- Perform quality control of network solutions in the process of transition to project operation.
- In the event of major incidents, provide the necessary support for the immediate resolution of the incident
