Infosys is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Consultant to join our DNA team. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will blend strong backend engineering skills with practical AI/LLM expertise to design and deliver high-quality, AI-enabled software. You will lead or collaborate with a cross-functional team of software engineers, DevOps engineers, QA, and product owners to build robust distributed systems that incorporate modern AI capabilities, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs). Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Architecture:
- Architect and implement high-throughput APIs that integrate with and leverage AI services
- Make key architectural decisions on API security, scalability, reliability, and how to incorporate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into our platform
- Lead integration solutions using Spring Boot 3.x, reactive patterns (WebFlux), and API gateways (Apigee) while mentoring other developers
- Champion improvements in integration best practices (performance, security) with a focus on enabling AI-driven applications and ensuring efficient content retrieval workflows where relevant
- Partner with Product Owners to shape technical requirements and best approaches for AI-enabled product features, translating business goals into architectural designs
- Lead API design reviews and architecture discussions focusing on AI integration and alignment with our broader microservices ecosystem
- Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, especially around LLM usage, integration patterns, and AI code assistants (GitHub Copilot, etc.)
- Drive alignment with Platform Engineering and MLOps practices, ensuring automated deployment of AI-enabled services
- Architectural direction for integration patterns that incorporate AI components (e.g., RAG, models, agents)
- Technology choices for new solutions around Gen AI usage, vector databases, and AI frameworks (SpringAI, LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI)
- API standards and security patterns
- SLA and performance requirements
- 8+ years of commercial software development, focusing on integration/APIs
- Expert knowledge of Spring Framework ecosystem (particularly Boot 3.x, Security, WebFlux)
- Mastery of API security, including OAuth2, JWT, and API key management
- Track record of delivering high-performance, secure system designs
- Strong command of AWS, Azure or GCP cloud services
- Experience consuming LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), orchestrating prompts or agentic workflows
- Familiarity with RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), term/embedding-based search
- Daily usage of AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to speed up development workflows
