Role Description:
In the role of Senior Consultant - OBP, you will be expected to have excellent knowledge of the OBP framework, with all artifacts and techniques. This role will interface with client and will involve coordinating people and projects.

Salary: AUD 108,571 - 119,893 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Information Technology expert with 8+ years of banking domain knowledge.
  • Banking application development and implementation experience across offshore & onshore model including but not limited to Solution Design, Development and Support activities.
  • 5+ years of Application Design and Development experience with Oracle Banking Platform (OBP) product for Lending & Deposit products, Origination Workflow for online as well as batch solutions & integrations.
  • Hands-on experience on Java, J2EE, ADF, SOA, OSB, Oracle Fusion & OBP technologies.
  • Working experience with different SDLC phases from Analysis, design, development, and production support using Agile Methodology.
  • Oracle SOA Suite 11g Certified Implementation Specialist
  • This position will primarily be responsible to interface with key stakeholders, apply technical proficiency different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design.
  • Play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; to deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.
Essential:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in 5 Application Design and Development experience with Oracle Banking Platform (OBP)
Preferred :
  • Strong understanding of banking domain processes, including customer onboarding, payments, lending, account management, and regulatory workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle ADF in building enterprise-scale UI components, task flows, data bindings, and reusable page templates.
  • Proficiency in Oracle SOA Suite (BPEL, Mediators, Business Rules, Human Workflow) for process orchestration and complex integration scenarios.
  • Experience developing and managing integrations using Oracle Service Bus (OSB 11g), including proxy services, pipelines, adapters, and transformations.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle BPM for modelling and automating business processes in banking applications.
  • Strong Java/J2EE knowledge, including Spring, JDBC, JAX-WS/JAX-RS, Servlets, JSP, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience with ORM frameworks like Hibernate for mapping, caching, and performance optimisation.
  • Solid SQL development skills with experience in Oracle PL/SQL, query optimisation, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Banking Platform (OBP) or similar core banking solutions.
  • Experience building secure, scalable API services aligned with banking security and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON for integration and message transformation.
  • Exposure to enterprise environments using WebLogic, JBoss, or similar application servers.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development cycles within multi-team banking transformation programs.
  • Strong debugging and performance troubleshooting skills across UI, integration, and backend layers.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to deliver stable, compliant solutions.
