Senior Business Analyst
Infosys is seeking a meticulous and strategic Business Analyst with deep expertise in ACH, check clearing, and payment-processing operations in the U.S. or Canada. In this role, you will be an expert contributor through all phases of the consulting life cycle. You will collaborate across business and technology teams to analyze, design, and enhance digital and operational workflows related to electronic payments, ACH processing, check clearing systems, returns and exceptions processing, and compliance adherence. You will play a key role in business process consulting, defining the problem, proposing solutions, and supporting technology enablement. You will guide teams on project processes and deliverables, support client training, contribute to proposal development, and help shape value-driven consulting solutions for financial-sector clients.

Required Qualifications
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to Toronto downtown.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
- At least 8 years of Information Technology experience.

- 8-15 years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, specifically in:
- ACH processing (NACHA experience strongly preferred)
- U.S. check clearing (e.g., Federal Reserve, ECCHO)
- Canadian cheque processing (e.g., CPA rules, Image Clearing, SOE/SIT, CDS/ACSS)
- Payment operations, returns/exceptions, or treasury operations
- Strong understanding of transaction banking processes and payment settlement workflows.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technology teams and managing multiple stakeholder groups.
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) preferred, with proven experience applying process improvement methodologies in payment operations.
- Working knowledge of workflow automation tools such as Pega, Appian, or similar platforms-with experience modeling BPMN process flows, desired.
- Partner with stakeholders in retail, commercial, treasury, and digital banking to gather and document business requirements for ACH, check-processing, or payment-platform initiatives.
- Analyze current workflows, payment systems, clearing processes, and operational data to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Develop BRDs, FRDs, process maps, current/future-state diagrams, and payment-specific requirement artifacts.
- Collaborate with IT teams to translate payment-operations needs into technical specifications.
- Document high-quality user stories related to payment rails (ACH, checks, wire integration, exceptions, returns) and work with Product Owners on prioritization.
- Support delivery through requirement validation, stakeholder communication, defect triage, and UAT coordination for payment systems.
- Ensure all solutions comply with applicable regulations, such as:
- NACHA rules (U.S. ACH)
- Federal Reserve or ECCHO check rules
- Payments Canada rules & standards
- AML, KYC, OFAC, OSFI or equivalent regulatory frameworks
- Contribute to change management, operational readiness, and staff training during rollout of new payment capabilities.
- Proficiency with BA tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with competing priorities in a complex financial-services environment.
- Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and Waterfall methodologies.
Estimated annual compensation range for the candidate based in the below location will be:
Ontario: $ 92004 to $ 105007
