Senior Atlassian Consultant
As a Senior Consultant specializing in Atlassian products, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to drive technical excellence across all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation, Solution Architecture, and Design. You will be responsible for crafting high-level design artifacts and ensuring seamless implementation of Atlassian solutions such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. You will lead the development and deployment of Atlassian applications, ensuring high-quality code deliverables, automation efficiency, and system scalability. Additionally, you will oversee validation for all types of testing, including performance, security, and integration, while supporting implementation, transition, and warranty phases. Beyond technical execution, you will foster a culture of learning and collaboration, where best practices, innovation, and diversity are valued. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing team productivity, driving agile transformations, and optimizing Atlassian toolsets to meet business objectives effectively.

- Administer and support Atlassian applications (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) at the server/infrastructure level, not just within the UI or configuration layer
- Manage and troubleshoot deployments across Linux/Unix and Windows environments, including services, file systems, and OS-level dependencies
- Perform application installation, upgrades, patching, and migrations (including clustering/HA where applicable)
- Monitor and tune system performance (CPU, memory, disk I/O, thread utilization), and resolve bottlenecks impacting application stability
- Configure and maintain integrations with supporting systems (e.g., databases, directory services like LDAP/AD, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins)
- Manage application services, logs, and startup/shutdown processes; perform root cause analysis using system and application logs
- Support database connectivity and performance (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL), including basic query troubleshooting and connection management
- Partner with infrastructure and security teams on topics such as network access, SSL certificates, endpoint security exclusions, and vulnerability remediation
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks, automation scripts (Shell, PowerShell), and monitoring/alerting mechanisms
- Provide production support, including incident response for high-priority issues and system outages
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 10 years of experience in Information Technology.
- At least 6 years of experience in configuring, customizing, and administrating Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo
- At least 3 years of experience in developing Jira workflows, custom fields, screen schemes, issue types, and automation rules
- At least 3 years of experience with Jira Query Language (JQL), Groovy scripting (ScriptRunner), and REST API integrations
- At least 3 year of experience working with Unix/Linux systems, shell scripting, and CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and Bamboo
- At least 5 years of experience in the software development life cycle, including Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices
- At least 5 years of experience in project life cycle activities, including development, maintenance, and Atlassian tool migrations
- Strong ability to collaborate in a diverse/multi-stakeholder environment, ensuring seamless integration of Atlassian solutions
- Experience in the Financial Services domain, implementing process optimizations using Atlassian tools for compliance and workflow automation
- Strong analytical skills, including troubleshooting Atlassian applications and improving platform performance
- Experience and enthusiasm for working in a global delivery environment, managing enterprise-wide Atlassian deployments and governance

- Candidates must be willing to work in rotational shifts, as the role may involve combination of regular shifts and off shift support needs as they arise
Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:
In CA/ WA/NY/CO/MD/IL/MN/NJ: $73,000 to $102,200
In Washington, DC: $66,500 to $100,300
