SAP Transportation Management (TMS) Consultant

Infosys is seeking a Lead SAP Transportation Management (TMS) Consultant

This position is a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options and makes recommendations. You will create detailed design, architecture and process artifacts and implement the deployment plan. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
It is important to mention that in some cases there will be required to participate in AMS support projects.

Basic Qualification Lead SAP Transportation Management Consultant:

• Bachelor's / Engineering's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of experience with Information Technology
• This position is based in Mexico (Mexico City / Monterrey or Guadalajara as base location)

• The location for this position is Mexico and will be in a hybrid mode, candidate may need to travel to office (if required)
• Candidates must be willing to work from office at this location daily (if required)

Preferred Qualification Transportation Management Consultant:

• At least 7 years of experience in SAP SD, MM or Transportation Management module including at least 2 full life cycle project implementation.
• The candidate must be experienced to understand & collect the business requirements, preparing the functional specification, write test scripts and test the functionality
• Configure SAP TM settings such as freight orders, planning, carrier selection, and charge calculations.
• Set up transportation planning strategies, including route optimization and load building.
• Integrate SAP TM with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM) and external systems.
• Define master data (locations, resources, carriers, transportation lanes).
• Design end-to-end transportation processes (planning, execution, settlement).
• Optimize freight cost management, including contract management and charge calculation.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• From BN4L module
• Analyze and document business processes specific to the LSP industry.
• Map requirements to standard BN4L TM functionalities and identify gaps.
• Configure BN4L TM module settings for order management, planning, execution, and settlement.
• Set up transportation resources, locations, carriers, and freight agreements.
• Integrate BN4L TM with other SAP modules (e.g., S/4HANA Core, EWM, SD, MM) and third-party systems.
• Identify areas of improvement and share regular feedback with the team.
• Expertise in SAP AMS support projects: L2 / L3 support, incident management, CMMi (desired)
• Good understanding of business processes in the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain/ retail / beverages among others.
• Ability to read ABAP code and debugging skills is preferred.
• Good Analytical, Communication and Presentation skills.
• Planning and Co-ordination skills.
• Able to work and connect with the team virtually who are located in other geographies.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
