SAP Security & GRC

  • 10+ years of SAP Security & GRC Experience .
  • Provide end-user support, manage major incident calls, document issues and solutions, and complete root cause analysis (RCA) reports.
  • Willingness to receive, make, and participate in calls with client resources worldwide, provide weekend support, and assist during maintenance windows and project go-live activities.
  • Ability to provide operational support during Eastern Time Zone business hours.
  • Adherence to established change management processes, collaborating effectively with other internal and external service providers.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, including alert configuration and Charm processes.
  • Provide on-call support, monitor service tickets and incidents, respond within defined SLAs, and manage email and messaging communications.
  • Proactively evaluate upcoming projects to identify capacity thresholds and potential risks, implementing changes to support new requirements without impacting current user load.
  • Responsible for proactive evaluation of current system performance and business processes, providing recommendations related to capacity planning, efficiency, and process improvements.
  • Involved in SAP GUI rollouts and lifecycle management.
  • Facilitate the execution, usage, and ongoing management of SAP Solution Manager.
  • Document and troubleshoot SAP interfaces, including issues encountered and solutions applied.
  • Actively participate in knowledge sharing and collaboration within the department and across teams.
  • Provide regular status updates to appropriate managers and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through trend analysis, reporting, and metrics management.
  • Ensure procedures and work instructions are efficient, effective, and non-redundant.
  • Propose and implement new ideas and improvement initiatives following discussion and management approval.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, proactively anticipating needs, resolving issues effectively, and prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Escalate and consult with reporting managers on complex or unusual situations.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulations, associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to customer specific and to IT systems.
  • Proven hands -on experience in SAP S/4HANA Security and Authorizations, including role design, build, and maintenance aligned with business processes.
  • Strong expertise in PFCG role management, including:
  • Single, composite, and derived roles
  • Authorization objects and organizational levels
  • Role transport and lifecycle management across system landscapes

  • Solid understanding of S/4HANA authorization concept simplifications and key differences compared to the ECC security model.
  • Experience managing Business Partner (BP) authorizations and object-based authorization checks introduced in S/4HANA. .
  • Familiarity with GRC Access Control concepts such as:
  • Segregation of Duties (SoD)
  • Access risk analysis
  • Emergency access / Firefighter processes
  • Ability to perform security troubleshooting and analysis, using tools such as SU53, STAUTHTRACE, and Security Audit Logs.
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits, including preparation of security evidence, remediation actions, and compliance reporting.
