Role Description:
The SAP Integration Consultant is responsible for performing the integration design, build, and transition activities for an SAP ECC to S/4HANA brownfield conversion, with equal focus on native SAP S/4HANA integrations and SAP Cloud Integration (Integration Suite) on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
The role ensures continuity of existing integrations, controlled migration or remediation of interfaces, and alignment with government security, integration, and assurance requirements. The Integration Consultant will work closely with functional teams, SAP BASIS, customer infrastructure teams, and external vendors to deliver a stable, secure, and compliant integration landscape.

Salary: AUD 108,571 - 119,893 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end integration stream for the S/4HANA brownfield conversion.
- Own the integration architecture and design decisions, ensuring alignment with existing ECC interfaces and target S/4HANA principles.
- Establish and govern integration standards, patterns, and naming conventions across the project.
- Ensure integration designs comply with government security, data, and assurance policies.
- Assess the existing ECC integration landscape, including Point to point interfaces, Middleware based integrations, Legacy and third-party system interfaces
- Identify integration impacts due to S/4HANA changes, including Data model changes, API and IDoc adaptations
- Decommissioning of obsolete interfaces
- Lead remediation or re platforming of integrations to SAP CPI on BTP where required.
- Ensure minimal disruption to downstream and upstream systems during conversion.
- Design, develop, and govern integrations using SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) on SAP BTP.
- Support transition from legacy middleware solutions to CPI where in scope.
- Ensure secure connectivity using: Cloud Connector, Certificates, authentication, and authorisation mechanisms
- Support monitoring, error handling, and logging strategies leveraging CPI and SAP BTP tools.
- Perform integration activities across: Integration testing, Regression testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Support mock conversions and dress rehearsals from an integration perspective.
- Own integration readiness for cutover, including interface scheduling, data sequencing, and go live validation.
- Provide support during go live and hyper care, ensuring timely incident resolution and system stability.
- Act as the primary integration contact for: Functional leads (Finance, Procurement, HCM, etc.), SAP Basis and Security teams, Customer infrastructure and network teams, External vendors and third-party providers
- Support documentation of integration designs, mappings, test evidence, and operational procedures.
- Assist with knowledge transfer and handover to AMS/support teams.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Integration (CPI).
- Understanding of SAP BTP architecture, services, and integration principles.
- Experience with APIs, IDocs, OData, SOAP/REST services, Secure connectivity and certificate management, Error handling and monitoring
- Proven experience supporting integrations in ECC to S/4HANA brownfield conversion projects.
- Strong understanding of integration impacts due to:
- S/4HANA data model simplification
- Functional changes across Finance, Procurement, or Logistics
- Ability to identify and manage integration related risks during conversion and cutover.
- Experience working in government or Australian public sector projects is highly desirable.
- Strong awareness of: Security and compliance controls, Audit and assurance expectations, Controlled change and access management
- 8 -12 years of SAP integration experience, including a lead role on complex SAP programs.
- Demonstrated experience as Integration Lead on S/4HANA conversion or upgrade projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- SAP CPI, SAP BTP, or Integration Suite certifications are desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Experience leading distributed, onsite-offshore delivery teams
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and solution ownership mindset
