Key Responsibilities
SAP FICO & Central Finance (CFIN)
- Lead and support SAP S/4HANA Central Finance (CFIN) design, configuration, and deployment.
- Integrate multiple source systems (SAP ECC / non-SAP) into S/4HANA Central Finance.
- Configure and manage:
- FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-AA
- Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting
- Internal Orders and CO-PA (Margin Analysis)
- Handle real-time replication, AIF error handling, and reconciliation between source systems and Central Finance.
- Support financial harmonization, chart of accounts mapping, and master data governance.
- Implement and support SAP DRC for statutory and legal reporting.
- Manage compliance requirements such as:
- E-Invoicing
- GST / VAT
- Country-specific tax and regulatory reporting
- Coordinate with business, tax teams, and compliance authorities to ensure accurate reporting.
- Handle upgrades and OSS note implementations related to compliance changes.
- Support finance processes specific to Oil & Gas:
- Joint Venture Accounting (JVA)
- Hydrocarbon accounting integration
- Revenue recognition and excise duty handling
- Interface with IS-Oil modules such as PRA, HPM, TSW
- Understand upstream, midstream, and downstream business flows and their financial impact.
- Work closely with business users, finance managers, and auditors onsite.
- Conduct workshops, requirement gathering, and solution design sessions.
- Provide user training, UAT support, and go-live/post-go-live support.
- Act as the primary point of contact for finance transformation initiatives at client location.
- Provide L2/L3 support for production issues.
- Drive process improvements and automation in finance.
- Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, security, and audit requirements.
- Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, and test scripts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory Skills
- 7+ years of experience in SAP FICO
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Central Finance (CFIN)
- Strong knowledge of SAP DRC and statutory compliance
- In-depth understanding of IS-Oil & Gas financial processes
- Strong FI-CO configuration and integration experience
- Experience working in onsite / client-facing roles
- Experience in SAP ECC to S/4HANA finance transformation
- Knowledge of AIF, SLT, and SAP MDG
- Exposure to global implementation or roll-out projects
- Prior experience with GST / VAT implementation
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in an onsite environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Willingness to work across time zones if required
