Senior SAP FICO Consultant

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP FICO Senior Consultant with over 12 years of professional experience to lead finance transformation initiatives, drive SAP Finance optimization, and support global and regional SAP programs.
The ideal candidate will combine deep functional expertise in SAP FI/CO (ECC and S/4HANA) with strong business acumen, leadership capabilities, and the ability to interact with senior stakeholders, including CFO-level executives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SAP FICO implementations, rollouts, and transformation initiatives across global and LATAM environments
  • Drive Finance Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments
  • Act as a Finance Track Lead, coordinating with global stakeholders, business users, and technical teams
  • Design and implement financial processes including:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Asset Accounting (AA)
    • Treasury and Cash Management
  • Support and lead data migration, system integration, and testing activities
  • Define and implement internal controls, compliance frameworks, and audit-ready processes
  • Good knowledge of the tables involved in the R2R flow
  • Drive electronic invoicing (e-Invoicing) and regulatory compliance solutions (e.g., DRC)
  • Lead multi-country rollouts and localization projects across LATAM
  • Provide functional leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to consultants and client teams
  • Act as a trusted advisor to finance stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business goals and SAP solutions

Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in SAP FICO consulting (FI/CO modules)
  • Strong hands-on experience in:
    • SAP ECC FICO (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO)
    • SAP S/4HANA Finance (implementation, migration, or transformation)
  • Proven experience in:
    • SAP implementations and rollouts across multiple countries
    • Finance data migration and integration processes
    • Month-end close optimization and financial reporting
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Financial processes and accounting principles (IFRS/local GAAP)
    • Compliance, audit, and internal controls
  • Strong experience in LATAM localizations (tax, statutory reporting, e-invoicing)
  • Experience in large multinational environments and complex programs

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as:
    • Finance Transformation Lead / SAP FICO Lead
    • Program or Track Lead in large SAP programs
  • Knowledge of:
    • FSCM
    • Treasury interfaces
    • Costing and controlling processes
  • Exposure to integration with other modules (MM, SD)
  • Experience working in AMS environments and continuous improvement scenarios

Soft Skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to interact with C-level executives (CFO/Finance Directors)
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Problem-solving mindset with focus on business outcomes
  • Ability to work in global, multicultural teams
