SAP Commerce Frontend Developer

Your role
We're hiring a Senior Associate Consultant - SAP Commerce Cloud Frontend Developer to craft high-performance, accessible, and maintainable eCommerce experiences on SAP Commerce Cloud. You'll lead the build of headless/composable storefronts (Spartacus/Angular or React), develop reusable components and design systems, integrate with OCC REST APIs, and optimize for Core Web Vitals. This role blends deep coding, solution design, performance tuning, and client-facing consulting.

Must Have:

Frontend Engineering & Delivery

• Design and implement extensions on SAP Commerce: OCC/REST APIs, Backoffice customizations, CronJobs, ImpEx/data modeling, FlexibleSearch, and integration with ERP/OMS/PIM/Payment/Search.
• Frontend experience with Spartacus (Angular) and modern web: Angular/React, HTML5, CSS/SCSS; responsive and accessible UI.
• Strong Java and Spring fundamentals (Core/DI, MVC, Data; Security exposure beneficial) for backend implementations.
• Code quality & delivery : unit/integration testing (JUnit/Mockito/Jest/Karma), Git workflows, CI/CD, code reviews, clean architecture.
• Implement secure coding and data protection (authn/authz, input validation, OWASP)

Analytics, Observability & Advance Debugging

• Own Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) improvements and runtime performance (bundle size, caching, prefetch).
• Write unit/integration/e2e tests (Jest/Jasmine, Testing Library, Cypress) and automate in CI/C (Jenkins/GitLab/Azure DevOps).
• Tooling: Node.js, npm/yarn, Webpack/Vite, ESLint/Prettier, Git
• Testing: Jest/Jasmine, Cypress/Playwright, Testing Library; contract testing of APIs where applicable.
• Web Fundamentals: TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, BEM/CSS - Modules, accessibility (ARIA), responsive design.
• Enforce secure coding and data handling for auth, payments, and PII; collaborate on WAF/CDN caching rules.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Headless/Composable architectures; storefront migration to Spartacus or React - based frontends.
• Search (Solr/Elasticsearch), Payment (PCI - aware flows), and SAP S/4HANA/ERP integrations.
• Performance/load testing (JMeter, Gatling) and resilience/chaos testing.
• Cloud/SRE exposure: Kubernetes/Docker, Azure/AWS/GCP, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins; APM/observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog).
• Security hardening (OWASP ASVS, token - based auth, mTLS, secrets rotation).
• Localization/internationalization for multi - site , multi - language , multi - currency commerce.
• Awareness of SAP Commerce backend (facade/service layers) for effective API design collaboration.
