Job Summary
We are seeking skilled SAP BOBJ Consultant with 13-15 years of experience to support and enhance SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) platform operations. The role involves working on enterprise reporting environments and ensuring smooth execution of reporting and analytics services. The candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to resolve issues, manage schedules, and support reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily health checks of SAP BOBJ servers to ensure system availability, performance, and stability.
- Monitor system performance, schedules, and batch jobs, and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Handle incidents, service requests, and problem tickets in line with defined SLAs, including root cause analysis and resolution.
- Manage and monitor report schedules and publications, including rerunning failed jobs and ensuring timely execution.
- Create, modify, and maintain report schedules and publication configurations.
- Develop, analyze, and debug Web Intelligence (WebI) reports to resolve user-reported issues.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting support and assist users with query-related requests.
- Generate and maintain audit reports for usage, performance, and compliance tracking.
- Create and maintain universe connections (UNV/UNX), including connection setup, modification, and validation.
- Perform connectivity checks across SAP and non-SAP data sources to ensure seamless data access.
- Support user onboarding activities, including MYIDM approval coordination, user creation, and folder-level access management.
- Maintain report distribution lists and mailing groups to ensure accurate report delivery.
- Perform object migration across environments using Promotion Management.
- Handle minor enhancements and configuration changes within the BOBJ platform.
- Conduct data analysis and guide users to appropriate source systems or teams (BW/HANA/ETL) for issue resolution.
- Provide functional guidance to business users and assist in setting up reporting environments.
- Collaborate with multiple teams (BW, Basis, Infra) to troubleshoot complex BOBJ issues requiring cross-team involvement.
- Support Analysis for Office (AFO) workbook creation and scheduling for business reporting needs.
- Provide report-level query support and insights to users on an ad-hoc basis.
- Assist in regression testing, periodic validations, and ongoing support activities to ensure system reliability and performance.

- 13-15 years of hands-on experience in SAP BOBJ BI Platform (4.x).
- Strong knowledge of Web Intelligence (WebI).
- Experience in Universe Design using UDT and IDT.
- Experience in production support (L1/L2 support model).
- Understanding of SAP BW/HANA or relational databases.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Experience with scheduling, publication, and troubleshooting.
- Exposure to SAP BW, Bex reporting, or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Experience in migration tools (LCM/UMT).
- Knowledge of performance tuning and auditing reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a support environment and manage SLAs.
