Role Description:

We are seeking a skilled SAP Basis Consultant to support SAP system administration, implementation, and operations across S/4HANA landscapes. The role involves managing system performance, ensuring stability, and supporting technical activities across implementation, upgrade, and support engagements..
Location: Sydney, NSW
Salary: 108,571 - 119,893 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform SAP Basis administration activities across S/4HANA and legacy SAP systems
• Install and maintain BW4HANA and Portal systems.
• Support system installation, configuration, patching, and kernel upgrades
• Assist in S/4HANA system conversions, upgrades, and migrations (SUM/DMO)
• Perform the Pre and Post conversion activities for S/4 and BW4HANA conversions.
• Manage transport requests and support release management activities (STMS / ChaRM)
• Monitor system performance and perform tuning and optimization
• Support SAP HANA database administration HA-DR setup (Replication, backup, recovery, system health checks)
• Support the systems with HA cluster setup.
• Execute client copies, system refreshes, and landscape management activities
• Provide support for technical cutover and go-live activities
• Troubleshoot system issues and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Work with infrastructure, network, and cloud teams for system availability
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance requirements
• Support Disaster Recovery (DR) tests and backup strategies
• Maintain system documentation and operational procedures

Technical Expertise Requirements
• 6-10+ years of total IT experience
• 6+ years of strong SAP Basis experience
• Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA systems (implementation/support/conversion)
• Strong knowledge of:

• SAP system administration (ECC & S/4HANA)
• SAP HANA database basics
• Transport management system (STMS)

• Experience in system refreshes, client copies, and upgrades

• Exposure to S/4HANA conversion activities (SUM with/without DMO)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Solution Manager, DBACOCKPIT)
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
Essential:

• Exposure to SAP on Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Basic knowledge of SAP BTP
• Experience with PI/PO or CPI integration landscapes
• Familiarity with automation/scripting (Shell, Python)
• Understanding of SAP security concepts
• SAP Basis / HANA certification

• Ability to work in onsite-offshore delivery model
