Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced ABAP Lead to drive end-to-end SAP technical delivery across S/4HANA programs. The role involves leading the ABAP team, overseeing development quality, guiding technical design, and ensuring successful execution of custom development, integrations, and conversion activities.
Location: Brisbane
Salary: 129,311 - 142,018 Total Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage ABAP development team across SAP S/4HANA implementation/conversion programs.
• Define technical architecture and ensure alignment with SAP best practices.
• Oversee development of RICEFW objects ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Drive custom code remediation using ATC and S/4HANA simplification tools.
• Govern SPAU/SPDD activities during upgrades and system conversions.
• Review and approve technical designs, code quality, and performance optimization.
• Lead development of CDS Views, OData services, and Fiori applications.
• Coordinate with functional teams, integration teams, and external vendors.
• Support data migration activities and technical cutover planning.
• Manage technical risks, escalations, and provide resolution strategies.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and governance processes.
• Mentor team members and support capability building.
Technical Expertise Requirements
• Exposure to SAP BTP, and cloud-based ABAP development
• Experience in CPI/PI/PO integrations
• Understanding of SAP functional modules (FI, MM, SD, HCM)
• Experience with DevOps tools, ChaRM, and release management
• Certifications in SAP ABAP / S/4HANA
Essential:
• Total IT experience of 12-18+ years
• 10+ years of strong SAP ABAP experience with leadership exposure
• 5+ years working on SAP S/4HANA programs (implementation/conversion)
• Proven experience in leading ABAP teams and large-scale delivery
• Strong expertise in ABAP Objects, CDS Views, AMDP, and enhancement framework
• Experience in S/4HANA custom code remediation (ATC, simplification items)
• Strong background in integrations (OData, APIs, IDocs, RFCs)
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
