Role Description:
We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in S/4HANA development and delivery. The role requires active involvement in technical design, development, and optimization, working closely with functional and integration teams to deliver high-quality SAP solutions.
Location: Sydney, NSW
Salary: 108,571 - 119,893 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver ABAP-based solutions across S/4HANA programs
- Develop and enhance RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows)
- Perform technical design, coding, testing, and deployment of SAP developments
- Work on CDS Views, AMDP, OData services, and Fiori enablement
- Support custom code remediation using ATC and S/4HANA simplification tools
- Handle SPAU/SPDD activities during upgrades and system conversions
- Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Develop and support integration components (IDocs, RFCs, APIs, OData)
- Participate in data migration, testing cycles, and cutover activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality, and documentation
- 8-10+ years of total IT experience
- 7+ years of strong SAP ABAP development experience
- Hands-on experience in S/4HANA implementation or conversion projects
- Strong expertise in:
• ABAP, ABAP Objects (OO)
• CDS Views and OData services
• Enhancement framework (User Exits, BAdIs) - Experience with custom code adaptation for S/4HANA (ATC checks, simplification items)
- Strong experience in integrations (IDocs, RFCs, APIs)
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills
- Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 and embedded analytics
- Knowledge of SAP BTP / RAP model
- Experience with CPI / PI / PO integrations
- Basic understanding of SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, etc.)
- Experience in transport management and release processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills
- Ability to work in onsite-offshore delivery models
- Proactive attitude with ownership and accountability
- Ability to deliver in fast-paced S/4HANA transformation programs
