Role Description:
The Data Migration / Selective Data Transition (SDT) Consultant is responsible for planning, designing, and executing data migration strategies for SAP S/4HANA transformations. The role focuses on enabling seamless, accurate, and auditable data movement from legacy systems to S/4HANA using approaches such as Greenfield, Brownfield, and SDT (Selective Data Transition). The consultant collaborates with business and technical teams to ensure data integrity, compliance, and minimal business disruption during transformation programs.

Salary: AUD 150,742 - 171,215 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end data migration strategy and execution for S/4HANA programs
• Define and execute Selective Data Transition (SDT) approaches, including scope definition, carve-outs, and historical data migration
• Analyze legacy data structures and map to S/4HANA data model (Business Partner, Material Master, Finance, etc.)
• Design and execute data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and load processes
• Work with migration tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM), Data Services, Migration Object Modeler, and third-party SDT tools (e.g., SNP, Datavard, CrystalBridge)
• Support data harmonization, data quality improvement, and archiving strategies
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and audit compliance checks
• Define data governance, migration standards, and best practices
• Collaborate with functional teams (FICO, MM, SD, EAM, etc.) for data readiness and validation
• Plan and execute mock loads, migration cycles, dress rehearsals, and cutover activities
• Identify and mitigate data-related risks and ensure rollback strategies
• Support UAT, go-live, and hyper care phases focusing on data consistency and issue resolution

Technical Expertise Requirements
• Data migration strategy and roadmap including SDT approach definition
• Data migration design documents and object mapping specifications
• Data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) specifications and templates
• Data cleansing, harmonization, and enrichment plans
• Migration cycle plans, mock load reports, and cutover plans
• Data validation and reconciliation reports (pre- and post-load)
• Data governance framework and data quality metrics
• Test scripts, defect logs, and migration test results
• Documentation for migration tools and processes
• Go-live readiness reports and post-go-live support documentation

Essential:
• Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA data migration and transformation programs
• Proven experience with Selective Data Transition (SDT), Brownfield, and Greenfield approaches
• Deep understanding of SAP data models including Business Partner, Finance (FI), Material Master, Customer/Vendor, and transactional data
• Hands-on expertise with migration tools: LTMC, LTMOM, SAP Data Services, Migration Cockpit, and third-party SDT solutions

• Experience in data profiling, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and compliance requirements
• Experience managing large data volumes and complex migration scenarios (multi-country, multi-system)
• Good integration knowledge with core SAP modules (FICO, MM, SD, EAM, etc.)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to plan and manage migration cycles, cutover execution, and audit readiness

ADDITIONAL
• Experience with SNP CrystalBridge, BLUEFIELD™ approach, or other SDT-specific tools and methodologies
• Exposure to data archiving, ILM (Information Lifecycle Management), and data retention strategies
• Knowledge of SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) or master data management processes
• Experience in landscape transformation, system carve-outs, mergers, or divestitures
• Familiarity with SAP BTP, Datasphere, or cloud-based data integration tools
• SAP certification in S/4HANA Conversion, Data Migration, or relevant technical domains
• Experience working in large-scale global transformation programs
• Familiarity with SAP Activate, Agile, and hybrid delivery models
