Python Lead

Infosys is seeking a backend engineer with strong proficiency in Python and a proven ability to design scalable, high-performance systems. The ideal candidate will have experience building data pipelines, working with messaging systems, and deploying services in cloud or on-prem environments. Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills are essential.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Dallas, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
Min 4+ years of strong programming skills in Python (Java or C++ is a plus).
Experience with distributed systems and real-time data processing.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and server deployment.
Familiarity with data streaming frameworks (Kafka, MQTT, RabbitMQ, etc.).
Good understanding of network protocols and API standards (REST, gRPC).

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with RFID technologies, including:
RFID readers (fixed and handheld)
Passive and active RFID tags
Understanding of tag-reader communication protocols and signal tuning
Familiarity with RFID standards such as EPC Gen2 and LLRP
Exposure to RFID middleware, device integration, and troubleshooting
Background in IoT, RF technologies, or sensor-based systems.
Experience working with edge devices or embedded systems generating high-volume telemetry.
Familiarity with strategies for handling large-scale sensor data, including aggregation, filtering, and real-time analytics.
Exposure to multi-sensor fusion, time-series data processing, and event correlation.
Understanding of RF communication principles and device-level data acquisition.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
