Responsibilities

  • Has the Engineering lead of the project
  • Engineering point of contact for Project Manager, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, and overall Project PEM
  • Coordinate the overall engineering project resources (with the project disciplines Lead Engineers)
  • Responsible for the Engineering "On-Time Delivery" (OTD)
  • Is Customer point of contact for any Engineering related item.
  • Is responsible to involve the right competences to solve issues on a project
  • Is the link with suppliers (eg. GE factories, external suppliers) to provide technical support during Execution phase
  • Is the link with construction team (eg. Core ITR Engineering and Field Core) to provide technical support during Execution phase up to Installation / Commissioning phases on Services projects
  • Coordinates for his scope the technical interfaces with Project PEM and Partners (BOP, Turbine, GEN, HX, CWD)
  • Is responsible for contractual requirements compliance and the approval cycle of contractual Engineering documentation (can be delegated to the Lead Engineer)
  • Is responsible for providing inputs for engineering section in regular Project Review Report(such as QPR) and support PM during this review.
  • Develop, monitor and coordinate engineering project schedules with project scheduler (and disciplines managers support)
  • Is responsible for engineering project budget management with project cost controller (and disciplines managers support)
  • Is responsible for implementation of applicable PEQ (Project Execution Quality) Processes:
  • Is responsible for the implementation of applicable fast works process for NPI (NPI projects only)
  • Is responsible for Engineering gates review and Design reviews organization and owns Action Items.
  • Is ensuring Risk management tracking and escalation as needed
  • Feedback into technical risk management and ERS for continuous improvement to be captured
  • Identify, promote, participate in and lead process and improvement projects

Requirements
  • Relevant experience in the field of engineering (in power plant or alternatively oil & gas, chemical industries...)
  • Relevant experience in project management (in power plant or alternatively oil & gas, chemical industries...)
  • Good knowledge in all engineering disciplines involved in Steam Power Portfolio
  • Good knowledge of the processes in Engineering and its interfaces, particularly procurement processes and construction processes.
  • Leadership, Autonomy, Convincing and assertiveness skills.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), capable for presentations in English.
