Role: - Network Design & Activation Engineer / Specialist
Location: - Sydney
Status - Permanent, Full-time role

JOB DESCRIPTION: -
Role Purpose:
Responsible for end-to-end design, activation, configuration, and troubleshooting of enterprise network services, ensuring seamless implementation of routing, switching, and SD-WAN technologies and wireless solutions for customer projects.
Experience Required
6 - 8 years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Network design, activation, implementation and migration roles.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver HLD/LLD documents and based on customer requirements.
• Implement, configure, and troubleshoot Routing, Switching, and SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, Meraki, VMware Velocloud).
• Create detailed low-level network diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
• Configure and manage Cisco and Juniper devices across LAN and WAN environments.
• Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols, Layer-2 technologies, IP/MPLS, Ethernet, and IP services.
• Support design, activation, migration, and issue resolution for enterprise network projects.
• Provide expertise in WLAN technologies and 802.11 security architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful service activation and delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Deep knowledge and Hands-on experience in Routing/Switching and SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela , Meraki &VMware Velocloud).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco & Juniper networking products.
• Strong understanding of IP/MPLS, Ethernet, and enterprise network architecture.
• Proficiency in protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, Trunks, Port-Channel.
• Experience with IP services: IPv4/IPv6, VPN, Multicast, QoS, SNMP with good knowledge on MPLS, VRF, SIP, and traffic shaping techniques.
• Exposure to wireless LAN technologies and security standards (802.11).
• Ability to work on design, implementation, and troubleshooting projects independently.

Certifications (Preferred):

• CCNA required
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP - Enterprise / Service Provider)
• Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), Meraki certifications
• Juniper Networks certifications (JNCIS / JNCIP)
• VMware Velocloud certification
