Infosys is seeking a Principal SAP APO/ PPDS Consultant

As a Principal Consultant, you will be a key player in the consulting team and subject matter expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology
  • This position is based in Cincinnati, OH. The role may require travel to project/Client's location.

  • 10+ years' experience in SAP S/4HANA embedded PPDS and/or APO PPDS.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA embedded PPDS and/or APO PPDS, including configuration and support.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand business needs for production planning and detailed scheduling, then translate these into effective SAP S/4HANA PPDS solutions. Configure and customize the S/4HANA PPDS module, including master data, planning parameters, and heuristics, to meet specific business requirements. Ensure seamless integration of PPDS with other SAP modules (like PP, MM, SD) and relevant data transfer processes, such as CIF.
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for the SAP PPDS system and its users. Participate in full lifecycle implementations, including design, build, testing, data migration, cutover, and post-go-live support.
  • Train end-users on PPDS functionalities and best practices. Develop detailed functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements, working closely with technical/ABAP teams. Experience with at least one, preferably multiple, full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementations.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing execution, MRP, capacity planning, and supply chain processes. Proficiency with the PPDS optimizer, heuristics, master data, and key integrations like CIF. Ability to write functional specifications and collaborate effectively with ABAP and other technical teams. Excellent client-facing, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
