Role: Principal Consultant
Location: Sydney
Salary: AUD 148,915 - 171,987 (Annual Gross)
Please Note: The above salary range is only indicative and maybe subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Providing specialized consulting services to a technology company focused on advanced AI applications in financial markets, combining solution architecture expertise with artificial intelligence research and development.
Key Deliverables & Projects:
- Trading Bot Development: Implementing algorithmic trading systems using Python and financial APIs with integrated machine learning models
- Agentic AI Research: Researching autonomous AI agents and their applications in financial trading, integrating LLMs with quantitative analysis
- Multi-Agent System Architecture: Developing coordinated AI agent frameworks for market research, risk assessment, and automated trade execution
- Financial Data Pipeline Engineering: Building real-time data ingestion systems for market data, sentiment analysis, and economic indicators
- Technology Stack Exploration: Hands-on experience with AI frameworks, reinforcement learning libraries, and cloud-native financial applications
- Develop levels of architecture across the desired program of work.
- Provides guidance to technical teams so detailed designs align with target architecture, standards, and patterns.
- Provides input into Request for proposals.
- Represents solutions in forums to obtain endorsement.
- Maintains Enterprise Repository with architecture updates.
- Support projects to ensure risk and issues are identified early and managed effectively; and
- Provides architectural governance to design, build, and operate phase.
- Strong understanding of software, hardware, architecture frameworks, and corporate technology and trends (e.g. MicroServices, Integration, Cloud)
- Understanding and experience working within the Australian Energy Market.
- Experience operating in a DevSecOps model.
- Experience developing solutions leveraging microservices concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present and communicate both business and technical concepts.
- Strong influencing skills with business and technical groups with ability to build networks across multiple stake holder groups.
- Demonstrated technology skills across multiple IT domains (e.g. application, security, infrastructure);
- Be a self-starter, demonstrate accountability and leadership with strong consultative skills at a cross-functional leve l
- • Architecture expertise across data, applications, and integration
- Design and development of large and complex enterprise solutions
- Stakeholder engagement with strong business user interaction skills
- COTS evaluation, vendor management, and RFI/RFP preparation
- Complete SDLC experience across all development phases
- Data management expertise including data architecture, warehousing, and BI
- Project methodology experience in both Agile and Waterfall environments
- Microsoft technology specialist with extensive .NET and relational database design background
- Integration expertise in vendor products, legacy systems, and bespoke solutions
- API and web services integration for data, integration, applications development and migration projects
- Develop levels of architecture across the desired program of work.
