As a Principal Appian Consultant, you bring deep expertise across all phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be heavily involved in defining the problem, shaping the solution, and refining it to meet client needs. Your role includes contributing to the design, configuration, and deployment of the end-to-end solution. You will guide teams on project processes and deliverables, support proposal development, facilitate client training, and help build internal capabilities while detailing project scope. This position gives you the opportunity to craft high-value consulting solutions that help clients adapt to an evolving global environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
- Must have overall 11 years of experience in overall IT experience, including strong expertise in Appian platform design, development, architecture, and delivery. The ideal candidate will lead Appian-based workflow and BPM implementations, guide teams, and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex BPM solutions using the Appian platform, including SAIL interfaces, process models, records, CDTs, reports, sites, and integrations.
- Define solution architecture, data models, and application design standards, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and Appian best practices.
- Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using Appian Connected Systems, Web APIs, REST/SOAP services, RPA, and Plug-ins.
- Drive performance optimization across Appian applications by tuning process models, queries, integrations, and ensuring scalable and maintainable design.
- Implement secure application design, including user roles, access controls, authentication/authorization models, and compliance with enterprise security guidelines.
- Lead code reviews, enforce development standards, and ensure delivery of high-quality, reusable components and Appian objects.
- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements, refine user stories, translate them into technical specifications, and propose innovative BPM solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Appian developers, guiding them on architecture, coding, best practices, and troubleshooting.
- Manage deployments and CI/CD pipelines for Appian packages, coordinate environment promotions, and ensure adherence to release/change management processes.
- Oversee testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and ensuring defect-free delivery into production.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes to ensure stability and reliability of Appian applications.
- Stay updated with the latest Appian features, cloud capabilities, AI/automation enhancements, and drive continuous improvement within the BPM ecosystem.
