Infosys - Global Markets
The Global Markets team represents the group of all client and market facing roles at Infosys. This includes our Sales team, Client services team, Practice Sales team, Alliances team and Marketing team. The members of Infosys Global Markets team are the first interface for clients, prospects, alliance partners and influencers.
Short Description:
This role is overall responsible for farming existing accounts, hunting new accounts and Infrastructure outsourcing large deals, working with advisors, Technical Solution development and client interfaces relative to owning the large deal process and solution for all CIS (Cloud, Infrastructure and Security led pursuits. Additionally, He / She will work closely with the Vertical Engagement Manager's (vertical account managers) to proactively pursue targeted accounts for large deals and with the CIS delivery to ensure optimal customer solutions.

Responsibilities:
The job holder has the following key responsibilities within the assigned account scope:
- Farming of the existing accounts and opening up new accounts.
- Hunt large infrastructure outsourcing deals in targeted new accounts and existing customers.
- Lead the large deal by engaging with customer, advisors, vertical teams, partners and CIS delivery.
- Lead the technical solution development.
- Create value and differentiated solutions for customers in response to Infrastructure RFIs / RFPs and proactive pursuits.
- Work with customer and be the technical advisor for them representing Cloud and Infrastructure services solutions.
- Do client presentations, due diligence and transition activities in new infrastructure engagements (where required)
- Translate business and system needs into technical system solutions.
- Acts as Subject Matter Expert providing direction and guidance to technical teams working on various solution elements of a pursuit.
- Responsible for assembling all required resources/skills to develop technical proposal.
- Assists in opportunity qualification and risk assessment.
Experience:
- Individual must have at least 15-18 years' experience in Infrastructure Management, Operations, or Technology Consulting with a minimum of 10 years' experience as a Cloud and Infrastructure sales person in one of the following areas, Datacentre Technologies including converged technologies and cloud, Voice and Data Networks, End user technologies, ITSM tools and Public cloud.
- Individual should have prior experience of leading large deals and should have worked with sourcing advisors like ISG, KPMG, ITNewcom etc.
- He / She, in addition to having broad infrastructure experience must be a Subject matter expert in one or more Infrastructure discipline (e.g. Networking, Datacentre design, Storage, etc.).
- Ideally he / she should have held a position of CTO, Director / or higher in Infrastructure Management / Operations or Infrastructure Engineering or have lead a solutions / delivery team for an Infrastructure service Provider.
- Must demonstrate an in-depth understanding of various Infrastructure technologies and be able to articulate the key tenets of various technology options.
- Excellent understanding of Infrastructure project management practices.
- Thoroughly understands the Infrastructure / Datacentre outsourcing industry, landscape, key issues and strategies of major technology players.
- Detailed understanding of the clients / infrastructure business processes and can relate to the client from a domain / technology perspective.
- Demonstrated broad expertise in the core Infrastructure technology area (Systems management / Operations / Database Management / Network Management, Datacentre, converged systems).
- Demonstrated broad experience in technical solution development of complex outsourcing Infrastructure engagements.
- Demonstrated experience in significant interactions at the VP Infrastructure, CTO and CIO level.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of at least one core Infrastructure domain as well as core industry and technological trends.
- Understands the IT Service's landscape at various levels.
- Understands how to manage delivery / sales in an IT business environment.
- Strong Analytical capabilities.
