Short Description:
We are seeking highly skilled hands on Performance Engineer experience to collaborate with Design, Architects, PO, third party vendors and implement Performance Tunings solutions for cloud and in house applications, highly skilled Big Data, Payments, Microsoft Azure and AWS SaaS/PaaS services.
Location: Sydney NSW , Australia
Salary Range: AUD $ 108,571,232 - $119,893 Annual Gross.
Please Note:- The above salary range is only indicative and maybe subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Candidate should have experience in custom coding in Java to build custom tools
- Implement Performance Tuning solutions and road map for the platform
- Develop Nonfunctional requirements for new and old platform
- Experience in Capacity planning
- Experience in Chaos engineering and SRE
- Hands-on experience in various performance tuning tools
- Lead the design, development, and execution of performance test plans and test cases for Big Data, Payment's solutions and for multi cloud and third-party applications
- Oversee the analysis of performance test results to identify bottlenecks, performance issues, and areas for optimization.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and data engineering teams to implement performance improvements.
- Develop and maintain automated performance testing scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Utilize Microsoft Azure PaaS services, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Spark, Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake (Azure ELZ) for performance testing and optimization.
- Work with Cloudera Big Data technologies, Payments, Channel, Kafka, micro services Teradata, and Oracle to assess and enhance performance.
- Manage batch processes and scheduling using Control-M scheduler.
- Provide detailed performance analysis reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide team members on performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Big Data performance testing and cloud technologies.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with industry standards and best practices.
ESSENTIAL:
- Good knowledge of technology landscape to be able to guide team.
- Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.
- Strong Java programming skills for custom tool development.
- Expertise in performance tuning, capacity planning, and non-functional requirements.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools and automation frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of Big Data ecosystems, multi-cloud platforms, and payment solutions.
- Familiarity with Azure PaaS services, Cloudera, Kafka, Teradata, and Oracle.
- Experience with Control-M scheduler for batch process management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
