Lead Infrastructure Server administration

Infosys is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Server administration. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role involves overseeing physical and virtual servers, implementing best practices, and leading a team to support mission-critical systems.

Required Skills:

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Memphis, TN or Hartford, CT or Indianapolis, IN or Raleigh, NC or Tempe, AZ or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in server administration and support.
  • Provide advanced technical support for Windows and/or Linux servers in physical and virtual environments.
  • Monitor server performance, availability, and capacity using enterprise tools.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex server-related incidents and problems.
  • Manage server patching, upgrades, and configuration changes.
  • Collaborate with network, storage, and application teams to ensure seamless infrastructure operations.
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Support cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure initiatives (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Maintain documentation for server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2012/2016/2019) and/or Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages.
  • Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, SCOM).
  • ITIL certification or working knowledge of ITIL processes.
