We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst in Taiwan.
Job Purpose
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance administration, with domain know-how in one or more areas. Experience in administrative process planning is a plus. The primary goal is to complete assigned tasks on time.
- Ensure that process design and proposed solutions meet the business needs of user departments.
- Able to identify, prioritize, and estimate effort for various business requirements efficiently.
- Ensure correct use of system tools to identify, understand, and analyze one or more functional requirements, deliver sustainable solutions, and assist in defining test scenarios to meet quality, timeline, and cost constraints.
- Responsible for maintaining information security related to company business operations.
Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
- Innovate during requirement gathering, conduct user interviews to collect comprehensive needs, and tailor solutions for various employee roles.
- Use analytical skills and experience to logically organize requirements and suggest improvements to technical teams.
- Possess appropriate knowledge and skills from early requirement stages to maintenance.
- Understand business processes and use appropriate tools to collaborate with users and solve their needs.
- Build analysis models to help developers address business requirements and design suitable modules.
- Analyze and define business requirements critically and constructively, define test scenarios and conduct testing to ensure development meets expectations.
- Participate in planning new solutions, propose or retain existing architecture, and justify or challenge arrangements to optimize business outcomes.
- Collaborate with developers to review solutions and estimate implementation costs.
- Provide feedback and explanations to business units, including transitional solutions.
- Assist users and testers in reviewing test scenarios and content to ensure coverage of business requirements.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing with testers and business units.
- Communicate with project managers to ensure appropriate resource allocation.
- Review business requirements to ensure proper prioritization and time estimation.
- Align priorities with company strategic goals.
- Resolve cross-organizational priority conflicts at the front line, escalate to management if needed.
- Adjust priorities based on cost-benefit analysis and strategic alignment.
- Provide appropriate support via phone, email, or in-person for business requirements.
- Use organizational resources and technology to support business units as first-line assistance.
- Provide training or documentation to reduce training demands from business units.
- Possess sufficient knowledge and capability to understand impacts across units and provide recommendations.
- Ensure go-live content aligns with agreed operational requirements and meets expectations.
- Capable of resolving system configuration issues and responding effectively to user/developer inquiries.

Information Security:
- Ensure all employees (including contractors) understand and implement security policies, especially in their assigned activities.
- Contribute to risk assessments.
- Verify and control employee access to resources.
- Report anomalies to the information security team immediately.
- Understand their defined role in the BCP (Business Continuity Plan) framework.
Education Requirements
- Degree: Master's or Bachelor's
Fields of Study: Business, Management, Science, Information Technology
- Minimum 5 years of experience in life/non-life insurance operations, process planning, data analysis, or related systems in insurance brokerages.
- Over 3 years of experience in insurance system business process and data analysis/planning.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and UML (Use Case).
- Strong logical thinking, business analysis skills, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Able to work independently.
- Language: English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Computer: Microsoft Office tools
- Other Skills: Project management methodology, team management, product/process/organizational knowledge
- Documentation and communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation abilities
- Able to communicate with stakeholders using business terminology
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, multitasking
- Strong analytical, evaluation, and problem-solving skills; service-oriented and solution-focused
- Collaborative in team environments, with agile and data-driven thinking to deliver appropriate solutions
