Short Description:
Bilingual Project Manager (Near native Japanese + business English)
Lead SAP/Salesforce/Oracle ERP Cloud Implementation projects from project planning, through execution and Golive. Focus on strong risk management, issue management, and customer communication. The role requires close coordination with offshore development teams, as well as the customer - to achieve the project goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the project scope, schedule, deliverables; and working closely with internal stakeholders to recognize their needs and expectations;
  • Create overall project schedule and participate in or review the project estimations. Maintain the project schedule and budget.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders, both in-person and through remote working models as needed
  • Transition and change management - pre, during and post project implementation
  • Project stakeholder management - working closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Project scope and schedule management
  • Driving periodic project reviews and mitigating risks with due diligence and a data driven approach
  • Achieve the project goals of Budget, Schedule and Quality/Scope
  • Escalating project issues to the senior management when needed
  • Contributing to the delivery of all aspects of the project and services: controlling and reporting on project activities, systems and information security
  • Reporting, analyzing, and resolving issues related to the implementation, stakeholders, and project operations that may impact service quality; ensuring that stakeholders' questions and problems are resolved properly and quickly
  • Implementing process optimization, improvements, and modernization initiatives where appropriate

Required Skills /Competencies:
Essential:
  • Strong (near-native) Japanese skills, with business-level English skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 15 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Japanese citizens and those authorized to work in Japan are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time.
  • At least 8 years of experience in customer-facing project management on ERP projects
Preferred
  • At least 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP/Salesforce/Oracle ERP projects
  • PMP Certified Practitioner or similar qualification.
  • Strong (near-native) Japanese skills, with business-level Japanese skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
