Job Description -
Wanted: Contract Governance Leaders to Drive Commercial Discipline and Service Compliance

  • In this role, you will manage contract governance and commercial controls for Cross Functional Services across infrastructure managed services engagements.
  • Ensure alignment of delivery obligations with contractual commitments, service levels, KPIs, penalties, deliverables, governance forums, reporting obligations, and client expectations.
  • Act as the central point of coordination for contractual interpretation, obligation tracking, commercial risk assessment, contract change control, and compliance reporting.
  • Work closely with service delivery managers, finance, PMO, legal, procurement, transition, tower leads, client governance teams, and partner/vendor teams to ensure commercial and contractual discipline.
  • Drive proactive identification of contractual risks, open obligations, SLA/KPI exposure, change impacts, commercial deviations, and governance actions across the service lifecycle.
Qualifications

  • 10-16 years of experience in contract management, commercial governance, service delivery governance, PMO, financial management, vendor management, or managed services operations.
  • Strong understanding of managed services contracts, SLAs/KPIs, governance models, commercial obligations, change control, risk management, compliance tracking, and stakeholder management.
Preferred
  • Experience in contract governance for infrastructure managed services, Cross Functional Services, SIAM, service management, or multi-vendor operating models.
  • Ability to interpret contract schedules, statements of work, service descriptions, RACIs, governance frameworks, performance obligations, commercial clauses, and change control procedures.
  • Hands-on experience in tracking contractual deliverables, obligations, service levels, KPIs, penalties, credits, assumptions, dependencies, exclusions, risks, and open actions.
  • Strong knowledge of contract change management including change request assessment, impact analysis, pricing coordination, approval tracking, documentation, and implementation governance.
  • Experience in commercial management including billing validation, invoice support, effort/cost tracking, forecast alignment, consumption reporting, chargeability tracking, and financial governance.
  • Ability to coordinate with legal, finance, procurement, delivery, PMO, transition, service management, tower teams, and client stakeholders for contract-related decisions and escalations.
  • Experience in preparing compliance dashboards, contract obligation trackers, governance reports, commercial risk logs, SLA/KPI exposure reports, and leadership updates.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL-based delivery operations, incident/change/problem/service request processes, service reporting, operational governance, and continuous service improvement.
  • Ability to manage contractual escalations, dispute coordination, audit support, evidence management, and closure of non-compliance observations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, documentation, stakeholder-management, and executive reporting skills.
  • Advanced Concepts / Expertise
  • End-to-end contract lifecycle governance from transition through steady state, transformation, renewal, extension, and exit support.
  • Advanced understanding of managed services contractual constructs including master service agreements, work orders, schedules, service descriptions, performance obligations, governance frameworks, and service validation processes.
  • Ability to establish and maintain contract obligation registers, deliverable calendars, RACI alignment, compliance evidence repositories, decision logs, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Strong capability in SLA/KPI governance including measurement validation, target tracking, penalty exposure assessment, service credit coordination, corrective action tracking, and performance improvement governance.
  • Commercial risk management including revenue leakage prevention, scope creep control, change impact assessment, margin protection, cost optimization tracking, and benefit realization governance.
  • Contract change control expertise including business case review, dependency assessment, legal/finance alignment, pricing validation, approval workflow, contract amendment support, and implementation traceability.
  • Ability to support governance forums such as operational reviews, performance reviews, commercial reviews, contract governance boards, executive steering committees, and audit/compliance reviews.
  • Experience in vendor and partner coordination, provider-to-provider issue resolution, dependency management, dispute support, and cross-vendor accountability tracking.
  • Strong focus on compliance, security, regulatory obligations, data protection, confidentiality, business continuity, operational risk, and contractual control adherence.
  • Ability to convert contractual, commercial, delivery, and risk data into clear leadership insights, recommendations, and action-oriented governance updates.

  • Strong documentation and presentation skills with ability to create contract dashboards, commercial summaries, governance decks, risk reports, and executive-level recommendations.
The job entails working at a computer for extended periods of time and collaborating with global teams across multiple locations and time zones. The role may require participation in contract governance boards, commercial reviews, performance reviews, compliance audits, change control discussions, client governance forums, financial reviews, and escalation meetings. Should be able to communicate effectively by telephone, email, collaboration tools, or face to face
