Informatica Administrator (Administrador de Informatica)
Location: Mexico (Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey) - Hybrid as per Infosys Mexico policy (CST/EST time)
Role Overview
The Informatica Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization, as well as the day-to-day operations, monitoring, and support of the Informatica platform. This role ensures high availability, security, and smooth operation of ETL environments across development, test, and production, ensuring platform stability, resolving incidents, and supporting production and non-production environments in accordance with SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, upgrade, and patch Informatica products (PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud, or IDMC).
- Provide L2/L3 operational support for Informatica environments.
- Administer repositories, domains, nodes, services, and user security.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure platform stability.
- Manage environment migrations and deployments across SDLC.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, DB, and application teams.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Maintain documentation and operational runbooks.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- 6+ years of IT experience .
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) - Strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work with ticketing tools and follow ITIL/SLAs.
Mandatory Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Informatica Administrator.
- Strong experience with Informatica PowerCenter (Domain, Repository, Services).
- Experience in Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or similar).
- Experience with Informatica upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
- Understanding of security, user provisioning, and access control.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based operations and incident management.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) setups.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automation.
- Basic understanding of ETL development and data warehousing concepts.
- Informatica or cloud-related certifications.
