Industry Principal SAP AFS & Retail Expert

Infosys is seeking an Industry Principal SAP AFS & Retail Expert.

As a Industry Principal in large global SAP transformation programs, you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options and make recommendations. You will create detailed design and architecture, and process artifacts, implement the solution and the deployment plan. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 13 years of experience with Information Technology.
• The role may involve extensive travel to other project locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Lead the functional design, configuration, and deployment of SAP AFS and SAP Retail solutions across multiple business units.
• Drive the overall solution architecture for merchandising, buying, planning, allocation, assortment, warehousing, and omni-channel retail processes.
• Design and optimize core AFS processes including:
  • Size grids, matrix ordering, segmentation
  • Seasonal planning and SKU creation
  • Forecasting, procurement, inventory allocation, replenishment
  • Wholesale and retail order management
  • AFS-specific MRP and supply chain workflows
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert requirements into scalable SAP AFS/Retail designs.
• Lead workshops, blueprinting sessions, and global template rollouts.
• Work with cross-functional teams (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM, BW) for integrations.
• Review and validate functional specs for enhancements, custom developments, interfaces (IDocs/EDI), and reports.
• Oversee SIT, UAT, cutover, and go-live activities for AFS/Retail deliverables.
• Provide expert guidance on SAP best practices, process standardization, and system optimization.
• Mentor consultants and provide leadership in project planning, risk management, and delivery governance.

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 13 years of hands-on experience in SAP AFS and SAP Retail.
• Strong domain expertise in fashion, apparel, footwear, and retail operations.
• Proven experience leading multiple full-cycle SAP AFS/Retail implementations.
• Deep functional knowledge of:
  • AFS master data management

Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:
In CA, WA, NY, CO, MD, IL, MN, NJ : $118,000 to $174,000
In Washington, DC : $119,500 to $155,000
