TM1 Developer Job Description (JL5)

Roles and Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced IBM TM1 developer who will be responsible for the Design and development of the new applications and enhancing the existing models using IBM Planning Analytics.

He/She will be responsible for the entire SDLC and should have excellent communication skills and experience working directly with the business. He needs to be self-sufficient and comfortable with building internal networks, both with the business and other technology teams.

He will be expected to own changes all the way from inception to deployment in production. In addition to implementing new functionality, he needs to use his experience in TDD and best practices to identify process gaps or areas for improvement with a constant focus on scalability and stability.

Candidate should be self-motivated, results oriented and able to multi-task across different teams and applications. Further the candidate needs to work effectively with remotely dispersed teams as the role will require constant communication across various regional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Building, maintaining & enhancing the financial systems (TM1) for budgeting/forecasting and reporting.
  • Work closely with FP&A and other finance team in determining the financial requirements, translate it to design and develop specific finance applications.
  • Creating, enhancing, and maintaining Transformer cubes, Framework manager models to support business requirements.
  • Involve in troubleshooting issues as and when arisen and support during month end activities.
  • Technical/functional support for all TM1 interfacing systems.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in developing different EPM applications using IBM PA/Cognos TM1
  • Expertise in Design and Modeling of TM1 applications end to end.
  • Expertise in Cube design, TI scripting, MDX, Rules & Feeders and Performance Tuning.
  • Expertise on Client Reporting and Dashboard tools like Active forms, PA Web, PAX & PAW
  • Expertise in design and implementation of overall TM1 security
  • Strong in Mapping business requirement to system design and preparing TDD.
  • Ability to do rapid prototyping in TM1.
  • Advanced development and troubleshooting skills.
  • Leads & participates in Development process definitions, best practices, and standards.
  • Documentation of Runbooks and User Training and Support
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies with a track record of high-quality deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
  • Working experience in Agile environment
  • Functional knowledge on Finance, Sales, and retail
  • Knowledge on Cloud Infrastructure and data source integrations
  • Knowledge on relational Databases and Cognos Analytics
  • Self-motivated, be able to work independently as well as being a team player.
  • Strong client service focus and willingness to respond to queries and provide deliverables within prompt timeframes.
Minimum Years of Experience
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
  • 8+ year(s) of progressive roles leading IT architecture and engineering designs and domains.
Language:

For Mexico Position:
  • Spanish speaking in addition to English
