Role summary
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Program Manager to lead end to end delivery of Guidewire Programs (Implementation, Upgrade and AMS) for UK Insurers including Specialty / London Market and Lloyd's ecosystem.
The role requires strong delivery ownership, stakeholder management, advisory capability in an onsite client-facing environment ensuring successful implementation, upgrade, or support initiatives across the insurance value chain.
The role involves managing cross-functional teams (business, IT, vendors, and offshore teams), establishing delivery governance frameworks, tracking KPIs, risks, and dependencies, and ensuring alignment with business objectives
The ideal candidate will also drive innovation, productivity improvements, and process optimization, while ensuring compliance with delivery standards and maintaining high-quality outcomes throughout the program lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership for Guidewire programs (Maintenance & Support, Upgrades).
- Design architecture and solutions aligned with Guidewire best practices.
- Ensure proper use of Technical features in Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter).
- Drive Innovations, code quality, performance optimization, and scalability.
- Own end-to-end delivery of Guidewire programs (Implementation, Upgrade, AMS) with strong governance, KPIs, and risk management
- Act as the primary interface for client leadership, aligning business, IT, vendors, and Guidewire teams for Guidewire programs
- Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of Guidewire programs from inception to closure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards for various initiatives across the insurance value chain for Guidewire programs
- Drive innovation, productivity improvements, Automation and process optimization initiatives
- Lead distributed onsite-offshore teams using Agile/Hybrid models with transparent reporting and KPI tracking
- Defining and executing a structured skill development strategy that combines upskilling and cross-skilling, ensuring a flexible, future-ready workforce capable of delivering complex transformation programs with high quality and efficiency
- Strong IT experience and proven experience in leading and driving Guidewire programs.
- Strong understanding of P&C / specialty insurance and London Market.
- Strong experience in Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PC, BC, CC).
- Prior onsite UK / Europe client engagement experience .
- Proven track record in managing large transformation / multi-vendor programs.
- Experience in leading Guidewire Cloud / upgrade / AMS engagements.
- Strong client-facing communication, consulting, and leadership skills.
- Guidewire Certification
- Program Management certification
