Group Manager - Client Services
Infosys Public Services is seeking a Vice President and Head of Public Sector Business to join our team.
Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):
The Vice President and Head of Public Sector Business is responsible for driving strategic account growth, strengthening executive relationships, and leading pursuit excellence across an assigned portfolio of public-sector and enterprise accounts. This role combines sales strategy, pipeline governance, large-deal pursuit leadership, and cross-functional orchestration to position the organization as a trusted digital transformation partner.

Key Responsibilities
Account Strategy & Growth:
- Review and refine annual account plans to ensure alignment with organizational growth objectives.
- Accelerate account growth by firmly establishing the company as a strategic and trusted partner within assigned accounts.
- Evaluate account health, whitespace opportunities, and competitive positioning.
- Oversee and continuously review the sales plan, pipeline quality, and forecasting for assigned accounts.
- Provide guidance to internal teams for pipeline hygiene, probability management, and deal prioritization.
- Identify, qualify, and support mergers & acquisitions-related opportunities passed through field teams.
- Actively drive and support large proposal pursuits, bringing cross-functional teams together to develop compelling solutions.
- Review proposal preparation, messaging, and value articulation to improve win probability.
- Build internal consensus, align stakeholders, and remove organizational roadblocks for critical pursuits.
- Partner closely with IBU and Business Development teams to support demand creation in identified strategic accounts or regions
- Provide BD teams with necessary resources, contextual account intelligence, and executive alignment.
- Build, expand, and independently manage key executive relationships across client organizations.
- Support C-suite and senior leadership engagements, ensuring structured follow-up and value-focused conversations.
- Oversee critical account operations and collaborate with Client Services (CS) managers to remediate risks or escalations on a need basis.
- Monitor delivery quality, client satisfaction, and program outcomes to safeguard and grow existing business.
- Work with delivery, consulting, and domain SMEs to identify varied types of deals-application modernization, digital transformation, cloud adoption, analytics, managed services, and more.
- Foster internal prioritization and resource allocation to maximize growth potential across accounts.
- 16+ years of experience in sales, account management, IT services, or public-sector consulting; leaders with similar experience
- Strong track record in managing large enterprise or public-sector accounts.
- Demonstrated ability in leading multimillion-dollar bids, proposals, and pursuit teams.
- Experience driving account growth, executive stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Background in digital transformation, modernization, data/analytics, or enterprise program management strongly preferred.
- MBA or equivalent strategic leadership education is a plus.

- A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.
The estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:
In CA/ WA/NY/CO/MD/IL/MN/NJ/VT/MA/Washington, DC: $171,000 to $305,578
